    Tracc just wants more midfield time, and he seemed to get a fair bit last Saturday. Reckon Burgess will have him in run all day shape by JLT. Amazing though that players would want out after one bad year.

    The salary cap floor does not help - having to spend 95% or more, and last year would have meant a number of out of contract players got PAID based on a very good season.

    EAD Hawthorn - the salt coming from their supporters could flavour hot chips for the next 5 years. Fair bit from Carlton fans too.

    It all comes down to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in most cases. Papley is a very good player, but not worth $750k if that is what North or Carlton might be prepared to offer. I have no info on what the offer might be.

    There's some real mythology around Gary this year and the standard of his season. All built around the narrative of a Cats flag of course.

    Clarry should be there. A player who totally deserves their selection is Hugh McCluggage - has had a brilliant year. Probably won't make the 22 but not out of place in this company.

    Have heard from another mate he spotted the big fella in the Lounge so must have got on.

    A mate is on the same flight as the players and said he could not see Maxy. His word was surprisingly given how easy he should be to spot.

    Surely the #1 aim of every player is to win a flag. The average AFL career is around 4 years I think so it's not like there are unlimited opportunities. I would be doing absolutely everything I could to give myself and club the best opportunity.
