  1. So, a huge Judd love-fest, huh? If you really do love Knuckles and you think he deserves all the plaudits (which of course he does), then you won’t hesitate to vote for him in the 22 Under 22 Round 18 nomination, where he’s up against Brodhi Uwland from the Suns. We’ve got Judd up to 92% of the votes which is awesome, but we need to keep voting because should the SunScreamers (the official cheer squad of the Suns) catch on and start voting, the gap may narrow. Do you want our boy to be beaten by a player you’ve never heard of?🤭 GET VOTING Y’ALL!!! please.
  2. That’s right, Judd has 92% of the votes now and poor old Brodhi only has 8% but that can change. If the SunScreamers (the official cheer squad of the Suns) get wind of this, they can do what we’re doing and even things up some. Last week JvR won the nomination, he was up against Colby McKercher and we had him up to 80% of the votes but we couldn’t put the cue in the rack coz North supporters were bound to jump onboard since they don’t have much to celebrate ☹️ Judd did us all so proud on Saturday and should be acknowledged in this way. Why does this matter so much? It just does, that’s why. 🤗 VOTE NOW DEES PEEPS!!!
  3. VOTE FOR JUDD! 22 Under 22 Round 18 Nomination Judd McVee vs Bodhi Uwland Déjà vu 😂 This week it’s the Juddster PLEASE VOTE FOR OUR BOY KNUCKLES! It takes literally 5 seconds. Let’s get our champion over the line!!!! The DA have dragged him from 12% of votes to 89% but we need help to keep him in the lead lest Gold Coast fans discover this and start voting up a storm. What’s that I didn’t hear you say? They have bugger all fans? They actually do have fans, lots of them. Anyways…. PLEASE JUST VOTE!
  4. Beating Essendon NEVER, EVER gets old 😁
  5. Well y’all have me to thank for Knuckles’ success. At a preseason training sesh I told him I was heartbroken to see Harmesy go, so he’d better do us proud in the #4 guernsey or he’d have me to answer to. 😂😂😂 I may be small but I think I scared the bejesus outta him. 😁 He said he was ‘stoked’ when given #4 and it was an honour he wasn’t expecting. Like every one of our young boys, Judd is humble. He is soft-spoken and has a gentle nature and is mature beyond his years. Of course, that may change as he gets older, but I very much doubt it. The development of the boys clearly includes guidance that keeps them grounded. No big-heads policy. 😁 PS: While the name is apt, I’ve not heard anyone at the Club call him Silk. He LOVES the nickname ‘Knuckles’. This is what he (emphatically) told me. He probably doesn’t want a recycled nickname anyways.
  6. I hope you and your fam are feeling better now, DZ. You missed a cracker of a game but I’m sure you enjoyed watching the awesome win on TV. 💖
  7. I didn’t see this at the time (one misses a lot of the live action when one chooses to sit in the Bay of carnage aka M3) but Mrs Frittata said, “Sch!tt are you allowed to do that?!” I said, “Do what?” She said “Pick someone up by the waist then drop ‘em like they’re hot.” I thought she was imagining things ‘til I watched the replay, so I texted her, “To answer your question… Yes, apparently you can!” 😂😂😂 On a serious note, watching Kozzie is mesmerising but also sometimes uncomfortable because you just know that if he’s reported, he ain’t getting off. #TheKozzieTax
  8. The issue is the failed Gawn/Grundy combo. Call it ego, arrogance, self-belief, whatever; sometimes one club isn’t big enough to house two of them. Of course, that’s my opinion looking from the outside in, as we all are.
  9. Probably why his mum doesn’t watch games. She attends but she won’t watch.
  10. Absurd???? It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Max - or any player - has a huge ego.
  11. Sparrow is given a job Sparrow executes that job Sparrow ain’t goin’ nowhere.
  12. This might just be my very favourite post of all-time. 🤣🤣🤣
  13. So, our ‘word guy’ gives us each a word to place on the banner. My word was “Kysaiah” and if you think I checked and double-checked and triple-checked the spelling you’d be spot on. PS I even quadruple-checked. 😁
  14. Scheduled training at Gosch’s today was cancelled. I was told this on Saturday night but forgot to post it. My apologies to any DL-ers who made the unnecessary trip. 😢 They changed today’s session to an indoor one, not at AAMI, at another venue the name of which escapes me. I was told there’s no open training this week (in Melbourne) and as yet no info on a captain’s run on Saturday in Perth, although I’m pretty sure there’ll be one.
  15. This is why I HATE the whole straight sets BS. We weren’t pathetic, we weren’t humiliated. Our finals campaign wasn’t embarrassing. Had Melk not done his ACL in the final round and had Gus not been flattened, we absolutely would’ve made the grand final and probably would’ve won it. Even without those two incidents, had Tracc’s legit goal been paid in the semi we would’ve been hosting a prelim and who knows where we’d end up. The results of those two losing finals ARE NOT a reflection of who we were and of what we were capable.
  16. We broke the record for number of Zs on one banner, and his real name doesn’t even have one. 🤣
  17. As you can see in the pic above, Clarrie is holding a little signed footy to give to a fan, as the boys do after a win. But what people probably don’t notice is that Goody comes over with the boys but stops about 2/3 of the way and claps his hands above his head in our direction after every win. That’s our coach and I’m proud af of him.
  18. Liking what Jobe Watson’s saying about us in commentary and get to thinking I shouldn’t judge him so harshly and that maybe he’s not that dumb. Next thing, he’s referring to how Xavier Duursma is improving and he says, “His skills are now coming to the foray…” 🤦‍♀️
  19. I just watched it and you’re right. That shouldn’t have been a free to Disco. You can hear the umpire say “contact below the knees” as if Draper had tripped Disco, which he hadn’t. Maybe old mate Drapes should’ve planked, it worked for him in the past. 😝
  20. We’d have to draw straws for which poor sucker has to hold it up, Kev. But on the bright side, he’d be so distracted staring at his giant head that we wouldn’t cop so many dodgy frees against. And a big fat HELL YEAH to beating the great pretenders and basking in it for the week 🥳👊🏼❤️💙 Enjoy the rest of your time in Thailand but when you return to Aus you need to relieve me of track watching duties since methinks the novelty is starting to wane and folks would love to have you back. 💖
  21. Preaching to the converted, Kev. 🙂I’ve likely given the wrong impression. The outbursts from Ryan and a couple of others are the exception to the rule. In general we’re respectful to the umpires. We have to be anyways, there are microphones in the goal posts. The kids in our bay aren’t hearing anything inappropriate, maybe up the back of our bay but not in the front half. Maybe there was more to “haircut” as you suggested, but security told Ryan that that’s what Williamson complained about. We don’t applaud the umps when their entrance is announced. Not sure anyone does 🤷‍♀️ We sometimes engage with the goal umps (not during play) and that’s only ever friendly banter.
  22. Great article. Love what he says about Disco… “Turner has nine games to his name, and he has a right leg that could fire mortar shells”
  23. Sadly, yes. If an umpire is offended by anything we yell out at them, they can tell security to talk to us. The thing is, Williamson would surely be aware that no one can stop the calling out of a word like ‘haircut’ since it’s not threatening or defamatory. He must’ve been so angry that he knee-jerked and demanded security tell Ryan to stop. Maybe he regrets it now because you know what Ryan calls out each and every time he’s in earshot, right? 🤣🤣🤣
