  1. Sheesh, 10 mins in and already I’m crying. #LoveyaJimmy
  2. This is not so much merch/memorabilia as it is a shameless cash-grab… They slug you an extra $2 per bottle for the addition of a few words of your team’s song on the label. The cheek of these money-grubbing fat cats!!! 😡 Meanwhile, at mine… And I don’t even like tomato sauce. 😆 #anythingAndeverythingDees❤️💙
  3. 1. GWS 2. Anyone, that is, ANYONE other than Essendon. I’d sooner a Collingwood three-peat than one Essendon flag.
  4. The eye-roll was for the first quote (above). It was either that, or tear you a new one. I was feeling magnanimous, hence the relatively harmless eye-roll. 😉 Totes different from the second quote, which doesn’t deserve an eye-roll but may attract a sigh. Not a deep sigh. A shallow one should suffice. And only because you imply that I took umbrage at your comment coz it was Jayden in question. I wouldn’t want that said about ANY of our players.
  5. I watched some of Adelaide’s match today. Not overly impressive. But that might be just in comparison to our girls last night.
  6. The best I’ve ever seen them play. Sustained pressure for the entire match. My girl Eden had thigh issues but geez whenever she gets near the ball it’s “get excited “ time. ❤️💙
  7. Man, there’s no pleasing some people. Be thankful that we can attend matches this year. You won’t read this since you’ve got me on ignore. I just feel better having said it. Thanksies! 😁
  8. He never did get to see his beloved Saints win a flag. 😔
  9. An apt song, indeed. I just listened to a song called “23” by a band called Blonde Redhead. Nothing to do with Warnie but it puts me in mind of that god-awful men’s cologne that he brought out, SW23. 🙂
  10. I agree. But he did manage to attract a lot of haters in his capacity as a commentator. And yes, at times he could be annoying but what I absolutely loved about his commentary is how unbiased he was. And it wasn’t contrived, it was organic. Unlike some other commentators (looking at you, Bill Lawry and Ian Chappell, among others) who could barely manage to keep the flimsy veil covering their disdain of, in particular, sub-continent players. soz if I’ve upset anyone by casting aspersion on the likes of Lawry and Chappelli. Just calling it as I saw it.
  11. He was more than just a brilliant cricketer. He has left a lasting legacy in that he was responsible for the renewed interest in leg spin. Who could forget “That” ball?! A leg break delivery from another planet! And for the scalp of Mike Gatting, no less. Kids at grassroots level (and adults, of course) are still reaping the benefits of having experienced his magic. Incidentally, I heard Gatting is still walking around in discombobulation to this day. 😉
  12. In terms of representing Australia (and Victoria) we owe Warnie a debt of gratitude. His contribution to the game was huge. His innate brilliance changed spin bowling like nothing else. Murali will miss his mate 😔
  13. OMG the commentators just said as much! They said no 50s tonight (so far) is a result of last night’s match and it’s a better way (to teach the lesson) than a 15 page memo. #you’rewelcome, restOfCompetition
  14. Watching the Dogs is bringing back fond memories of that glorious night in September last year. ❤️💙
  15. Watching the play really closely, huh. 😁
  16. Must feel like a sauna there. High humidity and they’re all sweating like horses. Dogs look tired already.
  17. There was a time when fans would scream at the umpires calling them F_____. Rhymes with maggot. And it wouldn’t be a match without the odd death threat being issued.
