  1. This is the first match I’ll be watching at home in over two years. Perth and Alice are the only games I don’t/can’t attend, and those matches I usually watch at the Sporting Globe or similar with the DA. I’d forgotten how antsy I get watching the Dees on my own at home… this won’t be pretty. What I DO remember is to give the GameDay thread a very wide berth from the opening bounce coz Demonland 😑 See y’all in the post-match and Joeboy’s player analysis 👋 Unless of course there’s an upset, in which case… see y’all around about the middle of next week 😁
  2. …. they’ve two choices: starve to death, or resort to cannibalism.
  3. Yep you need a science degree to open one of those mofos in under an hour and with just your bare hands
  4. aaaaaand… off with the [censored] TV 🤬🤬🤬
  5. The slapping might be in order if I’m a masochist and I must be a masochist to be willingly watching this nauseating team.
  6. Then you’ll be thrilled to know it even extends to their supporters’ distant relatives, neighbours, pets, work colleagues… somebody slap me.
  7. All their defenders are missing. They’re out on the ground, but they’re missing nonetheless. 😭
  8. Ugh if they win this they’re second on the ladder. THIS CAN’T HAPPEN. Surely there’s something in the Geneva Convention about this.
  9. C’mon North… don’t gift them anything! 😠
  10. Geez I hope they don’t keep cutting to the crowd too often… those Essendon ferals are making it difficult for one to keep one’s lunch down. 🤢
  11. I used the word “hitherto” when speaking with my youngest son. In the same sentence I used the word “totes” and he said he sometimes feels like he’s talking to two people born 200 years apart 😅
  12. The biggest story of the night is that during the post-match interview he used the word “fruition” 🤯
  13. Moreover, the Tigers only won two games that season.
  14. Ok so technically that one was justified. But what about all the many, many times a player doesn’t get pinged for running too far when it’s patently clear he has? This is the thing… No CONSISTENCY!!!
  15. Father of the Year right there. 🥰
  16. And the old White Pages andYellow Pages that were cut up into small pieces and let fly onto the turf, right?
  17. Everything has changed. Back then you guys hung the floggers over the fence when not in use. We’re not allowed to do that because we’d be obscuring advertising. That’s just one example.
  18. By choice? Or was it because seats behind the goals were most popular therefore harder to get? Nowadays everything is regulated including reserving the bays behind the goals for cheer squads only.
  19. Cheer squads these days aren’t autonomous. They’re governed and the rules are many and varied, especially those applied by the AFL. In some ways that’s not good. But in terms of securing seats behind the goals, it makes sense.
  20. On that basis, he won’t get any weeks. Warner, Heeney and Gulden = golden boys.
  21. Up until now we couldn’t possibly have sat in a worse part of the ground. The wind coming up from the race is bitingly cold, and we’re close enough to their cheer squad to see and hear them which isn’t pleasant. 😁
