I agree with you to an extent. Look, I guess I just wanna believe that we exceeded them noise- and passion-wise. Surely there’s no harm in letting us bask in this for a bit, even if it is partly wishful thinking. We need this feeling. It should bode well for our next match and hopefully beyond.

Speaking of pets, Jaded - you’ll be pleased to know Fritta is a dog-guy. He has five of them. His three and Nat’s two. One of Nat’s dogs wants to kill one of Bayley’s and therefore the two of them need to be separated 24/7, the dogs that is, not Bayley and Nat. 😂 This is super difficult and has catastrophic results if not adhered to (as has happened twice) but they make it work since it’d be like telling parents to choose to offload one kid. Amirite! 😁

As with most anything in life, ppl see the one thing in different ways. You’re the only person I’ve heard who’s said this. Not saying you’re wrong, just that you clearly perceived it in a totally different way to how I did. I know my perception is skewed because of where I sit, but I’ve since watched the replay and I’ve had a record number of postgame texts and calls from supporters of other teams and even friends who don’t follow footy saying that we matched them and at times surpassed them in terms of noise. As to your point about us matching their noise level at times due to the fact that we “dominated them in general play” is this the first time we’ve ever dominated them in general play? It isn’t.

I chose Fritta’s goal that put us in the lead, because if I didn’t and Pauline found out, I’d be in trouble. 🤣 I did love the Hunter slamming into WH-E moment, mainly because Lachie stayed on his feet, barely affected and carried on running. Meanwhile, WH-E looked as though he’d been hit by a truck, which he kinda had. 😁

Matthew Jefferson visited our tent on Monday. He chose to come as opposed to being sent by the Club. Rookie error. 😁 He came towards the end when we were at skeleton staff levels since many of our peeps had left to do the Walk to the ‘G and things had quietened down. Suddenly an unexpected wave of customers appeared outta nowhere. We were frantically trying to keep up with the demand so poor MJ in a heartbeat went from standing around politely chatting to having me barking orders at him… “Matty, more serviettes!” “Matty, sauce needs refilling!” “Matty, grab another rubbish bag!” He was so sweet and did everything asked of him, but that may well have been because he was scared of me. 🤭 Incidentally, he’s not as tall in real life as you’d think… 😁

I was specifically talking about the long Melbourne chant, Koz. I think it’s considered fitting for when the game is well and truly sewn up before the final siren. That’s when the likes of Collingwood do it. Another thing we do that divides the cheer squad is when we look certain to win, when there’s a minute left on the clock we sing Grand Old Flag. Some members love this, some not so much. We didn’t do it yesterday because doing the Melbourne chant then them getting so close shut us up real quick. 😂

Thank you so much for this. 🤗 Minus two or three short periods at the start, we were literally flat out for just under five hours. I’ve yet to hear how much we made for FreezeMND but we’d bought extra of everything and were left with almost no leftovers. It was a huge success. Also, this year was better than ever, ending the day with a win. Makes all the hard work all the more worth it.

I’ve been getting texts from friends (mainly neutrals) saying how impressively loud we were. I thought as much during the match but didn’t know if that was just from where I sit. Our DA WhatsApp is going nuts today with everyone claiming the same thing. I mean, who’da thunk we could ever hope to drown out Collingwood supporters?! Melbourne fans absolutely brought the noise, it’s something of which we should all be proud af. Incidentally, Mrs Frittata left her seat to grab something to eat and didn’t see Fritta’s first goal. Of course I was de facto mum and waved his giant head like a fan possessed. She was kicking herself for missing it so for his subsequent goals she ramped it up a notch or 10. I reckon she alone accounted for a huge chunk of the noise. 🤣 Also incidentally, that’s the meekest we’ve ever seen their cheer squad. They were lacklustre compared to usual and weren’t a bigger spectacle than us as is usually the case. Fun Fact: Ooze’s niece is a Magpie Army member. Was chatting to her in the race and she said how he’s super happy with how we’re going. And that was BEFORE we beat them. ❤️💙

Last year Langers copped it from our fans for poking the bear. Firstly, no single comment from anyone can determine the outcome of a match. Secondly, good luck trying to stop Ed from saying this type of thing since he’s quite different. He’s very chill and unconventional. He is what some might call out of left field. That’s just him. Why would anyone want him to change?

I was told but can’t remember when they’re all expected to reconvene. But I do know that they are free to do whatever they like in the meantime. A group of them flew out to the Gold Coast straight after the match last night. After all, it IS a break.
