Was Walter ever brought up in conversations? Doing a great job DF 👍👍

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Who needs Humphrey when you can have CJ. Hawks mate says running machine, but can’t kick, nothing upstairs (his words). Anyway he’s ours and wears our colours. Run like the wind CJ……..

This BBQ will go down in history. Firstly, the anticipation on Sunday morning of when Demon Forever will post. Secondly, the magnificent effort of DF to update us while he’s taking a dump. And it’s made me chuckle reading the to and fro throughout. Bravo 👏 🏆

Oliver Florent
We only listen to @Demon Forever these days 😂

Fair call GB, I haven’t watched enough of both to know if Humphrey is so much better than Walter, unless we think Jeffo and Luker will get some good guidance from Brodie. And our target is a midfield/forward replacement in Humphrey. 🤷

@Demon Forever Do we know if Jed Walter has been brought up in discussions as an alternate trade option? I don’t see why we wouldn’t try get him, we are desperately seeking a young forward, and King, JUH to compete with.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Would rather he star for GWS than Pies. Couldn’t stand it if he went to Pies, played well, and cop it from the feral supporters. Go GWS, give us a better trade 👏

Assistant Coaches in 2026
Maybe we just aren’t an attractive proposition as an assistant coach. Can’t see James Kelly or Brendan Lade leaving their current roles after missing out.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
I was hopeful that whoever was named as Head Coach would already have had at least their 2IC lined up. Maybe King already has and they are waiting for the right time? Or still searching? Names thrown up so far are Bartel, Scarlett and now Hamill.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Relax. We’ve only got another 10 days of this thread to go.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
- Steven King interview SEN 2.10.2025
Have a listen if you haven’t, spoke really well. The talk about inside 50 was positive, saying that we will try to be unpredictable, that in itself is music to my ears. Sometimes hearing the same message years on end can make people become stale and play within themselves. A new voice, new ideas etc just may unleash the shackles of a few. Get on and back Kingy- Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
After Matt Crouch retired this year, #5 is available!!! All signs point to an exit ➡️ Fate or coincidence? 😆- Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Darcy Fogarty? You won’t be getting Thilthorpe. Fogarty and a 1st? Honestly haven’t watched enough of him to have an opinion, he looks like a lovely kick at goal though (unsure of accuracy).- 2025 Grand Final
Good luck today Steven King. May you get every last drop of intel you can. We look forward to seeing you Monday. 🙂- NON-MFC: Finals Week 03
Win win next week. If Cats win, OUR coach gets more experience in a great culture. If Lions win, great too (because it’s not those scummy Pies!!!)- NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Watson would’ve been playing for us had the Hawks not picked him. Don’t understand the dislike for him, has a crack, is dangerous, and does this being a lot smaller than a lot of his competitors.- Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
At some stage would love to hear the thoughts of the people who were on the panel. I don’t think anybody on the thread predicted King. On paper, he’s probably the most experienced and had dealings with a lot of successful coaches. The Hawthorn coaching machine under Clarko produced Beveridge, Hardwick and Simpson. Let’s hope King is that next premiership coach from the assistant line. Looking forward to the press conference.- Farewell Charlie Spargo
A bit of nostalgia playing where his father played. All the best Charlie. Never quite liked him in the number 9, always felt he was too small for it after Neita.- NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
See what happens when you kick straight. Geez wish we had the skills of Hawks, new coach needs to put this as a priority! Making the most of opportunities.- POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
I’d be trading May and Lever before Petracca and Oliver. So overrated those back two. Put Petty and Turner down back for the next 5 years to form a great backline.- GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
May to never play full back again please. Isn’t fast enough. Try him forward next year.- POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Went along today maybe expecting a side keen to impress any potential new coach. All I saw was a team lacking in confidence, any team cohesion, and terrible skills. Hawks skills are chalk and cheese compared to ours. Trac is so fumbly now, it’s a real shame. Lot of work ahead for whoever is brave enough to take the big job.- Simon Goodwin Sacked
Completely agree Kozzy. Green rehashed the same argument over and over. Didn’t say we expected to be playing finals. Didn’t say forward entries were still the same 3 years running. Didn’t say membership numbers were dropping. I can’t believe the amount of times we bomb it inside 50 hoping for the best. Since 22 until now. The brains trust Goodwin, Williams, Chaplin, all other assistants, couldn’t figure it out. Goody you’ve had time to fix things. An easier draw this year, limited injuries and still think we are close, yet we sit 13th with 7 wins. Time to move on.- Harrison Petty
Petty loves a ‘pre’ goal celebration. Takes a mark, happy with himself, high fives teammates, then misses a sitter. Just kick the goal, then celebrate Harrison. For reference, Brian Taylor is his heyday, very funny. - Steven King interview SEN 2.10.2025
