  1. Thatโ€™s good enough reasoning for me!! Flag here we come ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰
  2. Was discussing with workmates how even the competition is this year. We looked at every team and said 16 sides could make the 8, we only had North and WC as definate outs. So 8 of those team have to miss out. Every team in the AFL have the same goal, there is only 1 premier, pretty brutal really. Im in the 5-10 range, not happy with our forward structure, I absolutely HATE the constant bomb it in 50, cannot believe how many times we do it and never learn. 2 or 3 players going up in the same pack. Nobody staying down for crumbs. How can Goodwin, Choco, Yze etc not see this and try to correct it? They are meant to be the best coaches in the land. Maybe Im looking at it too simplistically. Yes we JUST lost 2 finals, but the opposition want to improve just as much as us. Going in with low expectations, happy to be proven wrong and we win every game, just pretty blah hearing Goody saying "the learnings" every week.
  3. Went along with Tiger pal from work, so won't pretend I saw it all or know the game style they were using (too busy chatting). Was watching Windsor, to me needs a year of putting on size and where to position himself, looked like a first year body, still did ok, but don't expect the world (ala Daicos). And he shouldn't have to be that player. Give him time, he will learn. Actually thought Kynan Brown looked more comfortable at this level, was composed with ball in hand, kicked a goal. Pickett went in the middle, was his evasive best. Is he a game changer? To me he is too small and belongs in the forward line to crumb, use his speed etc. Up against the animals like Bont, Cripps etc size can be a factor. Use his smarts where we are lacking in the forward line (and no attempts for Mark Of The Year please, just crumb). Didn't notice Chandler, Howes or ANB at all. Generally disposal was quite ordinary, long bombs into 50, seems like both teams were almost just there to get some miles into the legs, and didn't show their hand. I'm hoping that's the case. Gawny played first half, then ran laps at half time, then went to the sheds. Like others have said, hard to gauge, hope that next week we sharpen up. Lots of outs on both teams too.
  4. Thanks Kev, Yep wouldnโ€™t think it is that hard to put training times up on website, North has theirs up with times and location. I have 2 young children 8 and 6, who are on school holidays, it is the ideal time to get the kids down to training, seems a missed opportunity. Might email the club for some feedback ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  5. Does anybody have any intel if there is training at Casey this Monday? May be able to go if we knew some dates.
  6. Is it just me, or does it seem like there are quite a few highly rated Tasmanians this year? Previous years I canโ€™t recall much talk of talent from the apple isle. Good signs for the state anyway.
  7. Didnโ€™t sound too convincing. If Petty is consideringโ€ฆโ€ฆ. Get 2 top tens picks, or 1 and Fogerty/Thilthorpe. They virtually got that for Lever. And ask Taylor Walker for his opinion if it goes through ๐Ÿ˜
  8. My Nana would come up with a better forward half game plan than Goody and Stafford. 1. Alternate leads, space it out. 2. Less bombing into forward line, and when it does, Kozzie stay down PLEASE. 3. Even if a grub kick comes in, Koz is faster than a lot of defenders. 4. Lower the eyes, the amount of times long bombs come flying in only to go straight to the opposition, itโ€™s enough to send you bonkers. 5. Move it in quick, donโ€™t give opposition time to โ€˜set upโ€™. 6. Donโ€™t rely on Gawn on a set shot, heโ€™s a putrid kick for a professional footballer, even with the โ€˜apparentโ€™ master coach Choco in his corner.
  9. Not a rumour, but would you look at Ginnivan? With Schultz coming into Pies, could be offloaded. I think he is a dangerous player, a bit divisive, butโ€ฆ.. I wouldnโ€™t object if price was right.
  10. I saw Will Gould was delisted by Sydney. I remember looking at him as a later pick in his draft year until Sydney nabbed him. Was in a manโ€™s body playing at U18 level, so donโ€™t know why he didnโ€™t go on? Maybe just a good SANFL player now.
  11. Grundy deal will go through quick, somewhere in the 20s. Pick 11 wonโ€™t come into it IMO. Shame he wasnโ€™t at the B&F, donโ€™t know the ins and out, hence deal will go through seamlessly.
  12. Nice work Beetle. Thats a good enough source for me. Welcome Andrew, may you shake things up a bit in the coaching dept ๐Ÿ’ช
  13. As BDA said, bite your tongue, congratulate then move on. Maybe add you didnโ€™t realise Selwood had come out of retirement and wearing number 35, loved to duck today. We move on to trade week, and hope a new senior assistant gives the coaching department a spark it needs.
  14. A few Lions players were below their best today. Even Zorko as much as you hate him, really disappointing. Add Hipwood, Cameron, Neale, Dunkley. Bet we all have someone at work we arenโ€™t looking forward to seeing ๐Ÿ˜ค
  15. KISS shouldโ€™ve got the NS today, they got paid a [censored] load and running away like bandits ๐Ÿฅธ
  16. FMD can they?
  17. Brissy doing a Melbourne
  18. Ball just seems to be bouncing Coll way.
  19. Frampton and Hipwood odds on for Worst on Ground. Havenโ€™t noticed Dunkley much either
  20. Bobby has earned his pay packet today. Pendles good on him for kicking a goal, champion player. Now kick 6 straight please Lions ๐Ÿ™
  21. Hipwood very overrated player, had a shocker. Almost reminds me of young Shach ๐Ÿ˜ญ
  22. Cheating umpires unfortunately. Maynard clearly took him high.
  23. Surprised we havenโ€™t seen Eddieโ€™s fat head so far ๐Ÿค”
  24. Great game. Swinging momentum, feel Pies just on top with ball use, but Lions keeping in it. Lets hope Lions finish strong ๐Ÿ’ช
  25. Wish Kozzie could play like Hill. Helps when you stay down and crumb like you are suppose to.
