I’m hoping it’s something like: - Freo: 13 & one of North’s very early 2nds they get from the Logue trade for: - Port’s pick 8 then Freo add their future 1st, and that’s the deal. For LJ, we get 8, and a future 1st, in a good draft

Your scenario would also fit what I was told by someone close to the Pies, who said that they would be definitely wanting a 1st. That was a while ago, and I haven’t talked to them again, so the pick in the 20’s & swaps I mentioned is just a guess really

Originally, when I read about Port, I also thought this would be the trade. Especially as it could be done early. But I’ve changed my mind. I now think we will get Grundy for a pick in the 20’s (not sure how), and some pick swaps. That would leave us with two 1st rounders for Dogga. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'm not sure why anyone thinks we will get less than two 1st rounders (even if one is a future 1st). If we get a future 1st from Freo, next years draft is meant to be a good one, better than this year, so it might work in our favour anyway

This was my first thought, when I heard about pick 7. Freo are getting rid of quite a few players, you would think it would free up some money. Add pick 7 to pick 8 (from Port, which reportedly may happen) & we have a deal imo

I could be wrong, but I thought on trade radio today they said that the Pies will pay 300k, maybe even 400k of Grundy’s contract, and that we should only have to give a second. If both of those things were right, it would be a good trade imo

Hopefully, we get 2 firsts, and an early second from Freo. Maybe Freo get one of Norths seconds. We could then give that early second to the Pies. That would be my hope. But as I’ve said before, I heard ages ago from someone close to the Pies that it will be a first. Hoping they’re wrong though
