  1. Sounds like he’s done his research.
  2. Best AFL game ever made. Who could forget this guy.
  3. Haha, beautiful imagery re: Waterford crystal. I’ve got a few close friends that go for Collingwood and if we got in a GF, the expectation would be to watch it with them. I don’t think I could. Unlike all the other clubs, I wouldn’t be able to take an even mildly lighthearted jab after the game as I’d be so furious. And I’m a very calm person in general! It’s more than a game against Collingwood. I ucking despise that club.
  4. Yup. I think it would fundamentally change me as a person. Have to quit my job, move to India for 6 months, go on a spiritual journey to find meaning in life again haha
  5. Winning or losing a flag against Collingwood are the ultimate footy extremes for me. Wouldn’t get any higher or lower than that. 21’ Grand Final was excruciating waiting all day for it, but I don’t hate the dogs like I hate Collingwood. The tension of a dees/pies Granny would be a lot.
  6. Huh, well there you go! I'm shocked it's that few amount of games. I reckon by pure chance I've seen 3-4 of those 5 goal games as I had it in my head as a certainty that he does it much more frequently than what you've pointed out. Thanks for the correction.
  7. Love this. Be brave with coaching and let young guys have a steep learning curve to get ready for finals intensity. If he does alright then that's a win, if he doesn't, well theres not any defender in the comp that can stop Cameron (except Hibbo) from kicking 5 goals when he's on.
  8. As a long time demonland watcher before I joined, that's the most toilet humoured post I've ever read from you.
  9. I personally wish Jacko well. He’s what, 21 years old? If his family were pressuring him to come home then that’s got to weigh on a young bloke and I don’t really feel any ill will towards him for leaving. He did after all spend all his time since being drafted in covid land which let’s be honest, saw a lot of us especially in Victoria not being able to see family members. I know I’m still overcoming that whole period of time so I can only imagine what it would be like for a 19-20 year old to be able to perform and stay in a premiership winning side whilst all that madness went on. I hope he is able to fulfil his potential as he’s barely into his 20’s and now he’s going to be under so much pressure to perform in a 2 team town. Give the kid some slack and move on. All the best Jacko.
  10. Yup, Schache is probably the first option. I’m commented about JVR in the above post and I guess all I’d put forward about Tomlinson, is Petty went forward for one game last year and did well whilst also not having trained in that position for 24-36 months. If we wanted to reward Tomlinsons efforts for last week, give him a go up forward.
  11. Fair call. Only going off what others have said about JVR in other threads, apparently Goodwin has commented that JVR doesn’t have the tank at AFL standard yet. If Goodwin is brave and we want to throw a grenade at Brisbane, Petty up forward would definitely be that.
  12. Just putting this out there, dunno if it’s any good? If Mayzie comes back this week and if… IF… TMAC is out, Tomlinson is 1cm short, yes he’s lighter than TMAC, but he looks very mobile and has played across CHF before plus he is hungry to play in a premiership. Considering a part of TMACs role is to open up space for BBB, I don’t see why he couldn’t fulfill that role? Happy to be wrong?
  13. Ahh ok fair enough. It was just weird that Gawn was frothing at the mouth at Baker, never seen him like that before.
  14. Absolutely! He not only hits a crazy amount of targets by foot, he hits them regularly in positions that 90% of other players wouldn’t even attempt to make. When he’s on half back, if there’s anyone close to free floating around high CHF, he’ll find them, then that player turns around and has multiple leading options coming to him or there’ll be a playing running past that takes a shot from 50. All happens so fast. Feels like a no brainer to try and take away that ability for the pies.
  15. 100%. With us he was on icing on top player, with them, he'll be expected to be a dominant player which right now, he isn't capable of. I hope for Jacksons sake he thrives under pressure because he's going to have to. Could quickly become a whipping boy if he doesn't progress fast enough.
  16. I really like Ed Richards for the dogs. In a very average back line, he goes hard for 4 quarters, seems like he wins a lot more 1v1's than he loses, has good evasive skills and is a pretty good kick.
  17. Maxy gave him an absolute earful when he was on the ground (I can't remember exactly what Baker did). Not sure if they personally don't like each other or what but I've never seen Maxy look that [censored] off/aggressive towards another player. Was genuinely not happy about something.
  18. Yeah he played well! I remember watching him in the practice matches miss a couple that were very gettable. He gets enough of the ball so if he can tighten up his set shots and out through the easier ones, he's capable of getting a couple every week.
  19. 100%. He’s quick and doesn’t seem to have a problem getting the ball, just got to finish off his good work.
  20. I’m pretty sure Rioli only kicked 40+ a couple times in his whole career
  21. Some great signs. Defence was rock-solid. Tomlinson was fantastic. Had my worries about May being out but that proved to be unfounded. Tommo deserves high praise. Maxy, best ruckman of my lifetime hands down. I’ve never seen another ruckman cause as much damage, as consistently, as he does. So adding Grundy on top of that is absurd. Couldn’t ask anymore than a 50 point win!!!
  22. Whoah, that’s the most aggressive I’ve seen Maxy. Must not like Baker too much.
