Oh I meant the hawks player that touched his head to the ground in the 2nd ‘dangerous tackle’. It happens every week and I don’t see how it isn’t staging? A player is pretending to do an action to fool an umpire into giving a free… kinda sounds like staging to me but nothing happens.

So is that hawthorn player going to be reported for staging? Isn’t staging a reportable offence?

Urrrrrgghhhhhhh yeah. The thing that immediately jumps to mind when I think about Sparrow is he’ll do something about 5 minutes into the second quarter of a game and I’ll think ‘huh, oh yeah, sparrow is playing’ He just doesn’t seem to impact or get into games regularly?

My one immediate thought is that he is a greater version of sparrow. Is Sparrow going to grow into the player he can be? Are we going to be chasing another flag for the next 3 years? Or should we look to youth.

I understand what you’re saying, but I would offer that the club probably wants to lay low, now that finals performances/outcomes/expectations are the media focus, thank god. The club should be concentrating on the external review and when that’s logistically sorted, that should be the next announcement to come out. That way we control the narrative. Only an opinion and not saying you’re incorrect to feel that way.
