I'd like to see Jefferson and Fullarton get a go this week, travel with the boys get serious and try and hold their positions when Roo and Turner are fit again.

Question is about his foot really doesn't seem to be moving like he was against the roos in 23. Is he 100% healthy? Is he playing still sore? Will it do more damage? Otherwise play him, we have a lot of options specially with a sub.

You'd think with Ben Brown out of the AFL you'd give him a proper rest and let Jefferson try and own the forward 50, instead its the land of the lanky talls with Schache, Brown and Jefferson all running to the same spot.

From what I can see yesterday, the message to the team is often kept simple, Goodwin would say "its hot and sweaty boys so get it in long and deep." The boys come out, we're a good team a well drilled team and win the middle contest get distance to the opponent and remember the message "get it long and deep!" The problem being that the get it long and deep is only when the play is tight and the pressure is on, when you get space you have to be clean no matter the weather. So we dominate the contest early but flub it because we bomb. I bet the message at half time was, "alright boys we've smashed em at the contest, now just use it a bit better get it to someone who can kick and hit up someone" 2nd half of the game we started loosing the contest and sydney ramp the pressure and but we are a well drilled team so we follow the message "use it better, hit someone up" so as it gets more soapy, wet and under the higher pressure we fiddle and fumble in the contest and try and hit up targets like Spargo against taller defenders. I think Goodwin does react to things that happen on gameday for sure, but I think its the timing and a general reactivity instead of a proactive message thats the problem.

Thought Dunstan deserves a go espcially if Sparrow is underperforming. Brown and McDonald looked average, is a problem we need to get sorted going forward as both look a bit old. Tomlinson needs to see a psychologist, he is shocking out there at the moment.

I'm somewhat ok with this news? At least they are holding out for a good option, we've heard so many ideas over the years and I want something actually kickass. I liked the Jolimont Station idea but that seems to have been scratched. Wouldn't mind kicking Collingwood back to Victoria Park.

Gold Coast willing to give up Pick 7 to pick up his 500k contract, now supposedly Melksham is on that kind of money... he hasn't played that consistently but seems very good at pulling his kicks to offset team defense I think he would excel in that role with us and net us a pretty pick in the top 10. Simple win for me.

I think Burgess went pretty hard on the players in the off season, but he timed it beautifully so they came back cherry ripe for finals, I think Selwyn is the new guy who was learning under Burgess, comes in and wants to make a statement, push them just that little bit harder, surely that gets a better result right? Sadly we were fittest in May and a side that doesn't rotate the team ever, going back to back was going to be very difficult

I said this on the demons facebook page but last year we controlled the tempo, dont you remember the first game? we came out and we controlled when the ball was moving fast and when it was moving slow, opposition fear you when you have that, "is this it?, do i go now? whos got him covered?" at the moment its go go go, into the pocket to only tall in our Forward BBB who has 3 blokes on him BAM, and the teams know this and rebound hard. Couldn't be clearer in the collingwood game in which they sacrificed their forward position because they could rebound so easy. Last night we never took our foot off the gas, yes sydney were going hard but you have to weather the storm with our own pressure, slow and then go, there is a rhythm to it game. Spargo was one of the few who actually tried to control the game, when we have the ball we own the time and positioning, Trac is one of the best at this, but when hurt he can't do what he we know he can.
