  1. Coaching is the problem here. There is a clear instruction to handball and it is going to give us zero chance in this game.
  2. Holding the ball clearly only going to be paid one way. We need to get the ball in quick and put it to grass, not in the air. They have got numbers behind the ball. Anything aerial will suit them. Birch is a liability at time. Loses here Head too often and often plays selfish football - I’ve never understood the hype.
  3. Is there any reason for why we have elected to wear the indigenous jumper in the Grand Final? While I love the indigenous jumper concept, I think we should have worn our traditional jumper.
  4. I’m going against the grain here, I know, but I thought Weid was good in patches, but still makes some fundamental errors. Kick inside 50 in the last quarter when he had three options to choose from and stuck it down an essendon players throat. Kicked the tough ones and missed ones directly in front . I do agree he deserves to continue in the team for now and TMac can have a spell, but he must eradicate these ‘panic moments’ and ‘pressure lapses’. It’s all in his head. The only way he clears this up though, a full 6 week block playing with the same blokes.
  5. You should listen to him mic'd up. Horrible antagonistic carry on that targets the oppo. As you point out, he is young and still making his way in the game, so perhaps he should tone it down and achieve something before carrying on like a pork chop. He is your typical 'rub it in the oppos face' player, even when he knows he has 'cheated' for a free. He is a pest. Look at the humility of Rivers, Bowey, Sparrow, Jackson - all players as young as he, who have medals around their necks. He is just another tip-rat with a silly vintage Doggies hat he bought at the op-shop.
  6. My mum had her hair set on fire while in line for a beer at Windy Hill. She is 69 and it still haunts her
  7. Don’t back down from this opinion, I for one share it and so do many others. He is a germ and carries on like nobodies business. He kicks a standard goal and goes bonkers looking for high fives from all and sundry. It’s good though, because it’ll hold them back. It’s that sort of arrogance that leads to teams getting ahead of themselves, which we know the Dogs do. He is very elusive, but I get the sense that he will get his comeuppance one day. There is something very Stephen Milne-like about him. Pure Germ
  8. Thanks! I touched base with Sally and 'The Cammy' is hosting the NSW Demons on Saturday night, for anyone else who may be interested. Apparently it is the local for Dees supporters in Sydney.
  9. Hi 'Landers, Just looking for some advice from Sydney Demons. I've got to be up in the harbour city this weekend and wanted to know where a good spot to watch the match would be. I fear being stuck in a pub only showing Rugba League. Are there any Dees supporters groups in Sydney that gather to watch games? I am staying in Paddington, so anywhere nearby would be great. If any Sydneysiders can recommend somewhere, it'd be greatly appreciated.
  10. What was good? The bloke seemed to be out of puff from the 1st quarter. Unable to go with his man and some very average slow decision making.
  11. Did you expect anything else? Both clubs have enormous supporter bases. Would have been the same last night of the crowd was 50/50 like tonight. It was more like 80/20
  12. So last year’s 13th beat 12th - warm up for the parade on Lygon St
  13. I was howled down here after the Carlton game for suggesting similar
  14. I've seen this posted here, but just seeking clarification...Is the carpark completely closed for General Public parking? I have consulted the MCC site, which is vague at best. If this is the case, what a complete disgrace. It is a Wednesday night. People want to get home early. Why on earth would you close the car park? No doubt the metres will be patrolled all over Jolimont. I have an elderly father, he isn't disabled, but relies on driving in. There will be no parks within 2km. He will struggle to walk and why would you want people crammed on public transport. Complete balls up
  15. That was the most amazing display of women’s football I’ve seen. In fact, it was equal to some men’s games. The ball movement was superb. Accurate passing. A few weeks ago I was critical of the field kicking of a number of players. I now firmly believe the poor grounds and wind at Casey contributes to poor standards. The Dees love Optus Stadium. Well done girls.
  16. Tackling and putting your head over the ball instead of reaching out and trying to spin out with a little dazzle dazzle are two different things. I’ll leave it at that before I cop another Lord Nev facepalm.
  17. He ain’t exactly a midfielder either. Hunt gets criticism for the fact he runs quick but butchers it, not sure Kozzy does much better. Easily moved off the ball at centre bounces and hardly likes to get down and dirty. In say that, he does tackle. Think he needs to be more desperate and make better decisions with ball in hand
  18. He wasn't clean and I would think his role is to be crumbing packs. If it's not, then he is being wasted.
  19. My namesake needs to pull his finger out and quickly. People will point to the fact that he laid 8 tackles. Big deal. Did any of them stick and cause turnover in our favour? Whether it's the position he is playing at the moment or something else, he is all out of sorts. He does not get to any of the right spots as a small forward. We literally had no representation at ground last night. He doesn't know where to be when we don't have the ball. I think he needs some serious guidance, as he is ineffectual at the moment, as he was on GF Day. I hope he can find his mojo, otherwise a spell at Casey may reignite the spark. Seemed to have plenty of 'leisure time' over the summer. Time to get serious.
  20. What exactly did Salem injure? I missed the incident, so have no idea. Can someone give a brief rundown?
  21. A lot of news about today, regarding the new Southern Stand that the State Government has committed to build. Eddie Everywhere talking roof. I actually don’t know why the entire stand needs to be pulled down. Some renovation work and improved seating, bars and entertainment within , seemed to be just fine. Anyway, is this our chance to get our club offices and The Demon Shop back into the MCG, in a visible location. Surely we’d have to be thinking about it. Get the Goschs resurface done. Keep using AAMI/Casey and be back at the G in 5 years? Haven’t seen it mentioned. I know the club is keen to get things sorted sooner.
  22. Despite the umpires trying to gift the Lions the game, we prevail in an epic comeback. Couldn’t be prouder of the girls. Tayla Harris is the recruit of the year. Absolute gun. I still worry about our polish in the midfield come the finals.
  23. What a garbage free kick. And that @DubDeeis why this comp is trash
