The team that won more games than us this year with shockingly bad list...OK I think our list is slightly better but without doubt we been badly coached for some time now. We will rebound with an exciting game plan that stimulates the team, rather than boring them to tears. Hearing King is designing a game plan where we will be kicking into equal numbers in a forward line....that in itself would be massive, let alone "allowing" the team to play with freedom and using some flair. Really bullish of us having much better year, even if it is with similar list!

Not even that....quoted that Pies offered him 425k per season. Can see why he is considering other teams...must be worth 600-700k on form.

Common sense fuels my bias on this occasion. It all seems pretty straightforward to me how it would have developed after an exit meeting where Christian shared his thoughts on following year. He wanted to explore, we facilitate that, but with bigger pool of teams this year. More chance it gets done. All we as MFC can do is wait to see if the offers are going to be....hopefully a bidding war with few clubs interested. Christian has his flaws but still a match winner on his day. Going to be interesting to see how this all develops, either way!

In this case smoke means fire lol. Neither Christian or his manager are shutting it down...nor are M.F.C. Either one one of them could shut it down in an instant...as plenty of other players/managers do. He currently is a distraction...and if no trade this year, will he want out again for a 3rd straight year? If he really wants out, we will let him go( for the right price) New coach would be wanting 100% invested players... not sure where he sits on a committed scale, but from appearances he seems less than 100% committed, to us.

Travis Boak would make a great addition in the psychologist/wellness/elite performance coach. He is going to do amazing things in this space....get in early Dee's!

Played 15 games this year and winning the reverse Coleman for most goals kicked against him. He has dropped off pretty badly. If this is sign of what is to come, I would let him go also.

A lot of our team are not very effective at tackling....Always wondered why we do not get a few of the Storm guys to help in this regard.

Absolutely....I am sure Sam would not be happy with how they finished the game off. It happens in most games though, junk time goals when teams take their foot off the accelerator, which is what it looked like to me. Lol Wilson is only interested in boardroom politics. Commentry on actual football, not so much!

Junk time goals are clearly more valuable to some than others. You are clearly always right though....to fit whatever narrative you feel is "more" right.

The last 5 minutes they started going slow....players may want %, but they also do not want to get injured before finals. Not cue in rack but they definitely did try and slow it up.

That part of my post was in jest. I am in agreance with you on this, not so much re Chandler. I believe Covid was a perfect storm....our team bonded and cared for each other, they actually got to know each other, + wives, kids etc(outside of training.) It seems like we have forwards groups, midfield group and backline groups that have no sense of connection. It feels like we got 3 different groups and the disconnect is huge. We are a team that does not at all seem unified. A massive rocket is needed to shake us into action. Honestly I think we need quite a few rockets, complacency has set in for too many Premiership players.

Ground the lot of them for the entire next season....covid-style. There is a distinct lack of care for each other, too many play like they do not give a stuff...for each other. You may be onto something, this seems like a majorly disconnected group. Drop Kozzie for the last game, he tends to get reported, I can see it happening again...he gave away stupid frees and 50m penalty today, looked frustrated. Let's not derail another start to season, drop him Chappy!

Not sure he is a slow starter. It is noticeable though he fumbles like crazy and his kicking/hanballing is way off. Better than average player but I would say he has turned from elite to average since that incident. The vision of his antics last week were not great, he needs to find selfless footy again, not this selfish bs that has crept in to his game. Love him to pieces though, just hope he is able to find somewhere near his best....a new coach has work to do with him, and others!

Mcreery and Windhager would be ones I would chase.....Something would have to give from our end, but it is doable if we get nearly everything right around draft time.

Are we? Happy to revisit this! Which part do you think Bucks would be worse at than Goody? His communication skills alone are so much clearer...Is he stubborn? Does he play faves? Goodwin also thought we would make finals last year + this year. With so many senior players playing well below their best, standards had dropped off. Particularly effort. Our list is far better than what we have dished up last 2 1/2 years. I think think this is why we had to move on from Simon, his faith in his premiership players was unshakeable. Yet half our list did not seem to embrace the change in style. His messages were stale, was he clear enough with gameplan and how to execute....I have had my doubts for long time, results say it was time. His statement he made after the St Kilda loss imo is what lost him the job. Along the lines of there was plenty of things to be liked in that last 3 to 4 minutes. Delusional if he truly thought that. Members threatening not to renew and the feral reactions from supporter base. I don't think Simon read the room. Not much in that last quarter , let alone last few minutes was acceptable...especially vs St Kilda who are imo a much worse team than us. Onwards and upwards from here, we are going to bounce back into contention next year for finals is my gut feel.
