CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Carlton
So that we have a hard working team that works and plays FOR one another... The Key to success. No lethal Players who are lazy, and Bludge on teammates. >>> This is the way to being 2nd best. and fail again. Make these lethal players pull their weight, or miss out. The way forward is to reward the hard workers, the two way runners, and other talents, when they work hard enough. and not before. # reminiscing about ogan and wats.

It's incredible that the system you revere, is the one you despise.? As do many.

CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Carlton
coulda woulda shoulda. Black's been there, and done that; his runs are on the board, and in the books. Our young players of past decades, have had a habit of getting ahead of themselves, and we place them too high on pedestals, because we are largely so desperate for heroes. Once we have placed them into the limelight, they're improvement slows way down. Even Gazza, and Schwarta, Jakovitz, and Farmer, all could have been better then they achieved. Schwarta became more Pro, imo, after his injuries. Jako and Farmer were very inconsistent, and had their heads in the clouds, or up their backside. Occasionally they really came to play. Occasionally.

CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Carlton
It's not the disposal skills alone that make the class, IMO; its the decision making, vision, and the ability to deliver to a teammate, to bring them into the game in a productive way. Oliver is more quick in mind to get rid of the ball, IMO, but much is a waste, and many turnovers from them. He's got a looong way to go, to get anywhere near Black. - - - Jordan, one of those unsighted youngsters. as is Nietski, Sparrow, and Spargo to a degree, as he grows size.. could still play some time inside as well, if he grows strong. Too small/light, at the moment.

CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Carlton
These positional decisions won't be about just this week, or just this season, but about Harmes skill-sets, to help us in the remainder of his career. for years ahead. We won't be seriously looking at this years premiership, at this point of this season. We are still building our list, and instilling a variety of skills into our key players, of which Harmes is one. We are building a team that will be a power for years, and that will mean some sacrificing preferred positions, to allow others to learn, their old roles. Just like Robbie Flower, all those decades ago, moving from the wing to half back, and then on ball, and forward. This is where we are at, atmo. Jones will not play in a Grand Final, but I reckon Maxy will. And May will, IMO. - - - - - - - - - Salem - you've written off Salem very quickly as a Midfielder. I don't believe Salem has played much in the midfield, since he's been healthy and fit. We need some class in the centre position. Petracca is more Bull than class, and so is Viney, and also Harmes. Ruck-rovers all three. We need to find ourselves a Simon Black type. So I think we should try Salem again, as we push Harmes back for a season or so. Brayshaw as well, needs to be given another try in the pivot. Other than these two, I cannot see where that class will come from, unless we turn it up from one of our unsighted youngsters.?

Have you never seen a champ mid go to half-forward, or deep forward, in an attempt to throw a tag.? Harmes needs to learn to play in that role and position, to round off his skills, for our long term advantage. I would try either Salem in the pivot, or play Brayshaw there, for decent parts of the season. Salem needs to get game time in the midfield. Rivers also, I'd like to see how he shaped up in the midfield, to see how he handles that. Because of his mature body. I know, I agree, he'll be a defender, initially. I'd like to see Sparrow play a combo of centreline, and half back, as well. I think hell be a good attacking player, which is suited to both Mids, and also as a back flanker. I think he has the strength and the dash, to cover both areas.

This is it exactly imo, Hff. And why Gosch's can work for us. Because of the stations proximity, and with the 'G'.

Cap May Squeeze Out Fritsch
Pickett, as an aside, do we have anyone you might trade, to a get back into the top 15 of this draft.?

Petracca Raring to Go
Or has he decided to trust himself, to stop doing what others expect of him (nice boy routine), and to let his own hair down, relax, and grow for himself. Is this a sign of new found independence in Tracc. - - - - - - - Can anyone else see the similarity of this concept.. and the idea of Melbourne becoming truly independent. with new base.?
-
Petracca Raring to Go
He's got more to go, has Tracca. But he's tracking well. Now for Bray and Oli to follow in the footsteps of Harmes and Co.

Petracca Raring to Go
Christian Petracca has put in......... Or, Chriastian Petraca, is putting in the extra efforts, continuing extra efforts. He's not that great a runner, he says... But neither was 'baby joe', until he grew up and trained. We have-to, expect more from our talents, @ Mfc.

Bigger Bench?
Agreed, 'MD'. Reduce it to two chairs. No bench. Seriously. And cap the rotations as well.
-
Training Ground?
This is why Mfc fails to a large extent. We are the child who hasn't left home. We are still under the parents roof. So we don't/haven't forged our own pathway, home, and individual identity. We are a flag, a Concept as said, a Theme song about loyalty, not about winning. So we are a bunch of rusted on loyal losers, who whinge about others ways. There is no belonging, just a preference in the minds of a few. We need more than this to be a successful club. Checker gave us our identity, for a few decades, until those in the Mcc tore it apart.

Training Ground?
Yes, IF it was built over/above, Punt Rd.

Jack Steven Incident
ah, a punctured lung.? nah, he's already payed that penal tee. and then got shot back out, like out'a a cannon, at the Fair. ... landed on a spinning wheel, & while pinned to the velcro, he was stabbed by the man throwing knives in the BigTop. Vlad would accept that, you know he would. Or my name is not, Andrew D...

Revised 2020 Fixture
If they do, for 2020; I do not want it to continue into coming seasons. They've stuffed the game enough. I'd like to see the rules taken back to 1990 rules, as they were then, and reset. Now some are saying that ruckmen are in for it. Give the running of the game back to the people. We are the buyers of the games, and we know what we like. We are the customers, and guess what, the customer is always right on.

Hutchy on Max’s Hair
Max's hair do is a necessity right now, to brighten the place up, and to get attention for the club. Max did say it will be gawn, for the start of games.
-
Training Ground?
That's not the perception of the footy world, and its more about our critical judgemental attitudes over the clubs, and their supporters. Not about the finances. The other clubs hate our stuffiness. As Jimma called it.

A conservative club, needs outgoing leadership.
