  1. Seagulls, 'DD'?
  2. Where to, 'od'.? down under.?
  3. I think this is the role they have "built him" for. But with Kosy out, who knows, they may have tweaked the forward setup late in the week, choosing to play Fritta one out, deep.?
  4. Its too late now; for this season... as he's already stacked on masses of upper body weight, to play deep power forward. He won't IMO, have the endurance with the weight on to do that role of 2017/18. I believe we recruited Brown, to cover TMc's old role. Brown has very good running endurance, and can take marks, so can play TMc's old forward role. But I don't believe we can play Brown, and Jackson in the same side, with Gawn. And Brown and Jackson, together with Gawn, would make us to friendly. We need more mongrel, more aggression, within the side. Not necessarily midfielders. VandenBerg would be one.
  5. He's sometimes been too clever for himself, 'Hff. And I can see Hibbo's experience, could help with the Dons pace and run.
  6. Some of our Best footy in recent seasons was played when TMc was running hard, high-forward and midfield, and with Pederson playing follower. Gawn out injured.
  7. I'm sorry you did, 'Btl'.
  8. you can only go on this past game as there was such a large break. Even out of form players can still be in the right positions, and run to the right spots. Going Too inexperienced all at once, isn't a good thing.
  9. And that IS another reason we have to bring other young Mids into positions in our midfield, because it mostly them that go off boil. When we have a number of players who can come into prime midfield positions, the name-mids will have to pull their weight, both ways, or be dropped. And more reason for Harmes to be in defence. To allow room for the kids, and for Tracca.
  10. We relax and get comfy. And let the other team back-in and find momentum.
  11. He isn't being wasted at all. You must be just looking at the game ahead of us, or the game just played. Footy departments have to look to the growth of the team, and the longer term view, and planning. IF we stayed as we were late 2018, then we will quickly fall behind all other clubs.
  12. We need the positions free to work thru our major ball-winners, who can specialise inside. we will I am sure begin to elevate other young mids very sioon, as soon as we startto find some form and wins. Players like Sparrow, Jordan inside;... Bedford, &/or Chandler, maybe on a wing. This is why I think Harmes is down back.. to allow these players to develop and come thru.
  13. We can't afford to move Harmes back into mids, as we're trying to refashion the inside-mids, we need to sort thru them, and get them working harder, and better together. Big names are heavy to carry around, that takes energy, it seems; so Oliver and Brayshaw, just as Petracca last year, need to work on when they/we, do-not have the footy.! These young fellas cruel their teammates too often, by not giving other players the chop-out they Need. The have to Stop be lazy in the mind, when not attacking.
  14. How will our so called gun mids learn, and become accountable, if we continue to bail them out with a run-with-player in there, doing half the job they have distaste for.?
  15. sorry, I just realised my mistake, forgetting ANB. certainly not intentional. He would be in my team instead of Hibbo.
  16. Some, or many here, think we are ready to the AFL by storm, because we went so well late in 2018. Even though everything worked for us back at the time. Since then, teams are paying us much more attention. We are not ready yet, and weren't at that time. We caught some teams off-guard. But we are improving, which cannot be seen by the ladder position and not truly even with displayed form... but by knowledgeable eyes watching our talents individually play. Its the new players with better skills coming thru that is the real growth, as the old Gen players will only take us so far. -Tomlinson and Langdon are brought in to fill a hole in our abilities, filling an immediate need. This will help us be more competitive, and to be able to defend better, compared to last year. The 2 way running is key to this competitiveness. So we need to draft this year, quality wingers. And we must discipline our Big Name young Mids to gut run more, as our defensive support from our Midfield is piza-weak. Some of our kids have been getting away with being slack. And that puts pressure on our defenders, and also when it occurs in our F50, puts the midfield under the pump, which flows to defence. The whole thing breaks down thru lack of responsibility. Defencive running responsibility
  17. HaHa, they should have done that at the 15 minute mark, so we can't see them. But seriously, how can two teams play so much less game time; the following week they are both at an advantage.
  18. So Collinwood and Ricmond only played 94 minutes of game time.? What the.!

  20. https://www.sbs.com.au/news/fox-news-caught-doctoring-photographs-to-make-protesters-look-violent Fox News caught doctoring photographs to make protesters look violent Fox News has apologised after posting digitally altered photographs on its homepage that made Black Lives Matter protests in Seattle appear violent. Owned by Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch, Fox News posted photographs claiming to be from a protest in Seattle that was actually a combination of pictures from different cities. One of the doctored photographs showed a man holding a rifle in front of a store with broken windows. Another picture showed a burning car and store with a person running down the street with the caption "Crazy Town." That photograph featured alongside an article about protests in Seattle, but the photo was actually from St. Paul, Minnesota, taken on 30 May, according to The New York Times, CNN and The Seattle Times. Fox News removed the photos after several inquiries by The Seattle Times, which called the incident "a clear violation of ethical standards for news organisations".
  21. Intercept for sure, was meant to happen. I think should have covered Nev.
  22. What if the footy dept is looking at all of them, to see whats best. None of them are best in league. All need to be scrutinised. And in the end, the club will do the right thing, as we have done recently. But its draftees, we need some more speed/class from. I think wingers, to follow thru from Tomlinson/Langers. Draft them now, and 2 - 3 Yrs, they will be ready to replace the older ones.
  23. North have a spare early pick, which could be handy.? Or do they have a speedy winger.?
  24. We won't setup with Fritta there like that, all the time. Do you expect that will be the lineup each week, with all forwards playing out, and Fritta one-on-one, in the goal square.?
  25. Its obvious the club wants TMc to play deep, the main target, so he's put on weight to hold ground. Brown is a runner, tall who IMO has been recruited to fill the old TMc role of leadup half-forward, roaming outside the F50. That brings us back to Weide, who I think will play the pocket, alongside TMc; with TMc helping Weide develop in that role. I'm expecting to see the 3 talls swapping in and out of the team, as needs. JacksonBrownWeide. .
