I think they might start the night with Petty forward with Smith and see how that looks for the future (dry September MCG) However if our defence leaks then we can switch Petty back and then see how that performs. I still think it's possible to play 3 talls back and forward.

Speculative low draft picks will give us more than TMac and BBB will next year. If we have to pay them out then so be it. I doubt it's big dollars without match payments.

Selection is really intriguing this week. Are we thinking rain so Bowey comes in for Tomlinson or is Petty coming in to play back? I for one wouldn't mind seeing us with Petty, Smith and JVR forward. Confident as you can be of a win down there. I actually think the Cats are cooked.

I'd say Hibbo, Brown, TMac, Melksham will all retire. They'll likely be 1 or 2 delistings as well.

Was sitting beside a pool at Captain Cook's Hostel in Cairns watching this game.

Because had we kicked straight we would of spanked them by 7 goals. On top of that we're better defensively, we're better at contest, we're better at scoring from turnover, heck, we're just plain better.

I wonder that as well. It's likely cause they ignore it at the beginning and keep sticking a blistered foot in a sweaty sock and running around.

I think the problem lies with trying to incorporate a loading regime mid season without being able to give the players a good 6-7 days off to freshen up. Here's hoping the 3, 10 day breaks work in our favour
