I agree he has class but his smarts and skill I have not seen this year, he seems to hack the footy forward, also think the one good kick he had to Wied yesterday was a fluke. I do love Gus but he needs to find form.

That is absolutely not the case, he's been brilliant this year. Clearly been working on this part of his game and is best ruckman in the comp hands down this season

That's definitely he's role, just think the goals will come for Kossi and none of the other small forwards on our list are any better, he speed alone makes defenders nervous. In a normal year maybe you would develop him a few games in the 2s but not this season

I totally agree with your post however we need his creativity and speed in the forward line

Unfortunately not up to AFL standard good enough from depth but will never cement his spot in 22,still learning but has a long way to go

That's been the problem with MFC for decades playing kids who are not developed to AFL standard ether because of Talent or heaps of injuries rather play experience. If Smith is good forward he can smash the door down at training then he's ready

Not AFL level? Played 16 games for 21 goals last year, perfect back up while we have injuries. I like Smith but he's had his chances just think the Hawks will smash as if we have to many passengers ( SMITH, Lockhart, Kossi,)

Don't think he will loose you games while learning the ropes, think we need to be picking players on form and ready now rather than hoping they develop in season we recruited Brown for forward depth now play him

So you want to develop Smith or win games of footy, if we're canning the season already I'd rather develop Jackson
