I see that as well as his 3 goals BB also laid a tackle. Who said he couldn't apply the pressure ?

Phenomenal barrel from Duncan after the siren. The cats were excellent that quarter. West Coast are pathetic. They are not serious flag contenders.

I reckon West Coast will fold like a cheap suit. Down hill skiers.

Watching the Cats v West Coast. Can't decide which team i dislike more.

Given the concussion issues he has overcome this is a mighty effort. Playing a real team role for the club this year. Delighted with how he is travelling Well done Gus
  6. We gotta bring the heat. Spargs, Kozzie and Nibbler are absolutely key. If we allow the tiges to exit our forward 50 unchecked we’re doomed. May back into our defensive unit gives me a lot of confidence that our defensive structures will hold (as long as the tiges aren't coming at us in waves - see point above). My concern is goal kicking. If we don’t take our chances we don’t win. It’s a s simple as that. Accuracy is critical. Genuine 50/50 game. Even kicking straight and applying finals like pressure may not be enough. I don’t know which way it’ll go but tbh if we execute on our game plan and show we can mix it with the tiges I won’t be too disappointed with a loss. What I don’t want to see is Richmond carving us up through the middle and imposing their game style on us.

Low quality game. Doggies poor goal kicking keeping the Giants in it.

Trust me you'll enjoy the game much more if you mute the commentary.

I think they'll test it thoroughly anyways

I like it Big ask to expect the Weid or BB to come in for a game of this magnitude and hit the ground running. May had to play once he passed the concussion protocol. Massive boost for us. I hope we bring our shooting boots. Impossible to win this game if our goal kicking is sub-standard again.
  11. Captures the fickleness of your average supporter perfectly I wonder if sportsbet have the MFCSS version ready to roll should we lose against the tiges
  12. Watch some reruns of our 2019 season. That'll sort you out.

Makes sense to keep changes to a minimum for a pivotal game like this. I had the Weid coming in for M Brown on the back of his 7 goals but also because I thought Fritsch wouldn't be fit. Fritsch has the runs on the board and improved his defensive work this year so i'm delighted he's able to play

Hopefully the Giants can get one over the doggies tonight. General comment. I missed not having a game to watch last night. I'd like to see some Thursday games scheduled during the rest of the season.
  15. Outstanding news. And so early in the season as well so no distractions later on. The pieces are falling into place. Come on Trac. Sign on the dotted line.
  16. I thought he was cooked but he has come to the rescue when our tall stocks were decimated. Delighted with how he is going. I wouldn't move him during the mid season as the reality is he is playing well and is excellent cover and is in fact holding down a first team spot on merit. At the end of the year we can take stock and look at trade options but for now let's just focus on the season ahead (which is shaping up nicely)
  17. He's been very good this year. Fantastic against Geelong out-marking bigger bodied opponents. One of the most reliable kicks on our list. Pay him market rates for 3-4 years. Carlton paid Essendon pick 8 for Saad. I'd have Salem every day of the week over Saad.
  18. Good to see the younger blokes experiencing the winning feeling regularly. Great for confidence and belief

TMac is not a natural forward. The addition of BB and the Weid and their forward nouse will back a big difference here
  20. Let me know how you go because i intend to do the same thing (just need to round up the posse and get agreement that we'll all travel)

This thread just goes around in circles. Does anybody have any idea what is going on with our homebase other than our past president and board keep telling us the MCG precinct is the preferred site .

  23. I’ve been as critical of Goodwin as anyone but it would be harsh to criticise after a 5-1 start to the season with the only loss coming against the premiers. Best leave that thread until the end of the season I reckon.

May back in is huge. Looks like the Weid will get the nod over BB. Fritsch unlikely. They are big in's for us particularly May. Petty grew into the game last week but Riewoldt and Lunch are a completely different proposition to the Hawks forward line. My confidence is growing
