  1. Recalling the Neeld era is painful. It represents the absolute nadir in terms of footy department disfunction and on-field ineptitude. It provides a case study on how not to run a footy club I understand why people want to consign to history and forget about it but we must retain the memory and remember the lessons lest we repeat the mistakes again Neeld was a disaster. Named the 2 jacks as co captains, young and inexperienced players that should never have been put in that position. Put the senior players noses out of joint straight away. The single worst coaching decision by any coach of any club in my time watching footy. Let’s not ever do that again.
  2. We'll be 8-0 and back on top at the end of the round
  3. Big game this for my household. Bragging rights up for grabs with the St Kilda supporting in laws. They've been chirping away all week and are very confident coming into this one (bless their little sainter hearts). To be fair they've been complimentary and respect us but feel we haven't been playing well and are due a loss. We'll (probably) lose a game this year but it won't be today Death by strangulation, dees style, coming up for the gallant sainters Dees by 25 points

I went to 2 corporate events last week. Attendance down at both. Many people now prefer to attend online rather than physically attend. I think it’s the same as footy where people have gotten used to watching on Kayo and now prefer to watch from the comfort of their home rather than go to the game. I think this is a post Covid reality and needs to be factored in to expectations of crowd sizes
  5. Peter Wright is one of the most improved player in the league this season
  6. I thought GWS had turned the corner. lifeless performance from them. The board should consider letting Cameron go early and see if a different voice can inspire the players to salvage their season
  7. Credit to the Suns but i'm not sure about the Swans top 4 bona fides after this quarter of football. They were dreadful
  8. levi Casboult is a very honest toiler
  9. Swans have been really poor in this final quarter. Can;t get any offence going at all
  10. The lions will beat the eagles by 100+ points
  11. Give him 5 years on top dollar. He's worth it
  12. Pressure and scrutiny are a fact of life for AFL coaches. Develop coping mechanisms, build resilience and ignore what it said in the media. And if it's getting too much then choose an alternative career
  13. The opposition having a plan to beat us is all good and well but paraphrasing Mike Tyson. They all have a plan for us until we punch them in the face
  14. Delighted she's going around again. Proved this year she still has enough in the tank and her leadership and smarts will be required if we are to land that elusive premiership
  15. Great initiative by the club. Leading the way again. Feels like Nev Jetta should be involved. Hope he returns to the club someday
  16. Same as. GWS game. Toby the terrible and poor goal kicking done us
  17. Different swans in the second half. They obviously got a serious bake from Longmire during the break
  18. It's a little off topic but i thought it worth a mention Port and GWS are starting to show some form. Port knocked off the Saints last night who are a rival to us this year. GWS have Geelong and Carlton up next at home. You wouldn't bet against them winning those 2 games We've already banked the points against Port and GWS when they were playing poorly. Our rivals will have to deal with them when they are playing better. Another factor which is working in our favor
  19. Why don;t they make Brisbane and Gold Coast play in Cairns? It's in their state after all
  20. Kossie kicked his goal of the year contender in this fixture last year. An amazing goal we belted them. Wasn’t reflected on the scoreboard because of our inaccuracy
  21. He has standards and sets a great example for the rest of the group. Look at the physical condition he is in. A lot of hard work goes in to building a tank like he has. There aren't many players in the league can get up and down the ground like he does. He just keeps improving as well and has added goal kicking to his repertoire. Another AA jacket on the way and most likely as captain as well We're blessed people
  22. Totally obnoxious. The Hawthorn fans seated around me were fine but those flogs in the standing area were hard to listen to
  23. Bedford deserves the opportunity to stay in the team after his performance today. If Kossie or nibbler aren't 100% to go next week then he should stay in
  24. That was a slog. I wouldn't say the Saints shot themselves in the foot. If they tried they would have missed
  25. I want Port to win this. Knock some of the wind out of the Saints sails before we play them
