Slick ball movement from the Lions this quarter. They're playing well and have this game sown up i reckon
-
An uneventful thread

would love to play the pies in a final. We'll beat them for sure Sydney are the one team I'm always nervous about playing. would rather avoid them in September if possible
-
Suns will beat the pies at metricon hoping the saints rediscover some form and beat carlton

Gus has been great, been versatile and filled in on the wing and in defence when we needed him to. A very good servant to the club But if its a choice between him and dogga then its dogga for me. much higher ceiling

We have clarry for life. All of a sudden I’m not as fussed about this contract.
-
Great news and why wouldn’t he sign up for life. Our window is wide open for the next 5 years, great list profile at a stable well run club these are great days we’re living in folks

Duffy is a tough competitor. Will be a very handy pick-up if we do bring her in

Agree. I left home at 17. Couldn’t wait to leave. If he found a girlfriend in Melbourne I reckon it would cure his home sickness pretty quickly
-
I find it hard to reconcile his obvious joy and happy demeanour after the game last week with his desire to leave. Obviously he’s thinking about leaving otherwise he’d have signed by now but I don’t think he’s definitely gone by any means. And if he does decide to go I’ll be pretty peeved he didn’t go last year when we had a chance to trade in cerra

He’s lucky it wasn’t more. He nearly took prestia’s head off!

There's probably a song about that

I'll have Jason Horne-Francis thank you. Or Nick Larkey

Geelong didn't waste anytime before starting the charm offensive I always laugh when I hear the "he's not that sort of player" comment. He's just laid out a player with a horrendous elbow so by definition he's exactly that sort of player. He'll get 4-6 weeks I reckon

GWS delivery inside 50 is ridiculously bad

Carlton are a big threat but how enjoyable would it be to beat them in a final? Watching their feral supporters lose their minds would be hilarious
-
Hate to say it but Carlton are playing very well here.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.

Agree. It’s game plan and personnel but they have to tell themselves something -
De Goey is an unprofessional lout and always has been. Remember his lies about his dog biting his hand when in fact he injured it in a bar brawl. I think he was a second year player at the time. He’ll never learn. Trying to use mental health now as an excuse. He’ll be the talented player, could have been anything, but didn’t have the drive or temperament to realise his potential But in terms of this incident, he hasn’t broken any law or club rules. The whole bringing the game into disrepute bit doesn’t wash with me. May and Melksham brawling in a Prahran restaurant is a terrible look as well but the ALF took no action there either. This is not about treatment of women unless you think we should take a paternalistic view of this ladies choices in life. This lady has agency, can make up her own mind, dress how she wants. And socialise with a dh like De Goey if she wants to. Maybe she is a dh as well and they are a match made in heaven. She has said she has no issue with his behaviour. Why are we downplaying or choosing to ignore what she has to say? Isn’t that the definition of sexism. Anyways, De Goey is not worth the hassle. Could have been re-charging his batteries with a relaxing break but choose alcohol and clubbing instead. No law against it, but shows where his priorities lie. I’m glad he’s Collingwood’s problem.

If they are then they're doing a good job of disguising it tonight

doggies must be loading 😁

wasn't meant to be a comment regards attitude. I thought we were more trying to conserve energy

I have to admit I was a little worried at half time, 30 points up after a cracking quarter. We’ve tended to rest on our laurels and let teams back into it this season, particularly the last 3 games. Not last night though. We powered on in the second half. Very reminiscent of our finals form last year. no doubt in my mind we’re back to our best, focussed and ready for another crack at the flag
