  1. I'll take an 11 point loss given the first 3 and a half quarters.
  2. Oh a monumental boo-frickrn-hoo. Caught up with a Hawks supporting friend several years ago. Asked him how many flags he'd seen in his lifetime. His honest response "I can't remember." I was pretty sure it was about 10. 1 for every 4 years of his life to that point. Long may their descent continue.
  3. Fantastic to see how much it meant to him at that presentation. Well done to the club and all involved. Speaks well too to the fantastic engagement with former players that has been fostered over several years now.

Lo and behold we play West Coast in round 4. Vested interest much?
  5. Tomlinson looked so much more assured with his body than after coming back from his ACL last year. Hats off to him, I thought he was done. Wonderful to see. First game live for my two boys tonight. Great way to break them in. 😀 Carn the mighty Demons!
  6. The fecal matter content of Ugle-Hagan's bed is immense after that quarter.
  7. Superstar Koz.
  8. Crowd really noisy that qtr. Great football.
  9. Spargs on track for an 80 goal season
  10. To be fair it felt a little more like crowd [censored] for tat after the boos Hunter was getting from the Dogs fans.
  11. The bars were packed in the Olympic stand. Ppl finding their way to their seats now. Sparse in AFL members and Ponsford top decks though.
  12. The power imbalance (captain vs younger teammate) adds a disturbing overlay on this.

It'd be a bit safer if we only included players that had actually signed on to the year in question.

I'd expect the chances are pretty low - 6 games is more than a quarter of the season. Surely in terms of forwards in 2023 we have BBB, TMac, JVR, Fritta all pickable ahead of him (granted the first 3 are bigger fwds than Melksham's role). We have Kozzy too - Melksham isn't replacing him. Nor does he cover ANB's Kms. Would he be ahead of Chandler next year? Even if so, there's got to be multiple injuries between him and senior selection. I'll always have a soft spot for him - his 2018 was great, but I'd worry for the state of our 2023 season if he's getting 6 games.
  15. Really enjoyed his work with the club. Sad to see him go but was inevitable I suspect given his media talents.
  16. Someone tell the Board we've got a 14th Cup to accommodate somewhere!
  17. Daisy: "They invited the wrong team to their housewarming." 🤣
  18. YYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic effort Dees that was a hell of a fight. What a season! What a way to see Daisy off - a pioneering champion of the game.
  19. Officially have no fingernails left.

Good. Walk away and leave them paying a million a year for him.
  21. JVR - surely will play seniors next yr - happy for him to slot in place of melksham from semi final side. Laurie - not sure - dev hampered by a lot of injuries in 2020 Howes - apparently v close to senior selection this yr but injured in vfl - may be spots in the jordon or hunt areas? AMW - not sure Turner - surely gets more games with Tomlinson maybe being traded, Hibbert longer in the tooth and Hunt traded. Chandler - got some clearer air between him and seniors now with Bedford off to wherever. Really needs to seize any selection opportunity in a way that doesn't see him getting suspended for weeks for a concussing tackle.

Our fwd line might need to trade in some of those walking frames from the Cats' mad Monday too.

Kicking myself. I picked one up a couple of weeks ago fearing the gold logo could be gone any moment.
