  1. I think there's lots of areas where he could improve, one of them is his marking on the lead, but I think it gets massively overcooked on Demonland.
  2. That's my point though. There's always more context to these things. Simply saying "Weid has never kicked 20 goals" is an overly simplistic observation.
  3. Simply not true and has just become part of (the less reputable) poster lore on Demonland somehow. In 2020, 2019 and 2018, only Gawn averaged more contested marks than Weideman. Even this year, in a 'poor' year for him, he's still ahead of jackson, Petty & Fritsch, and only very slightly behind Brown.
  4. Yeah, would be a shame to lose him mostly due to our key position depth atm for his age. I wouldn't blame him if he moved on for a better chance of senior game time though. Whether he stays or goes though, I'd like to see us draft or trade in a young key forward for the future.
  5. I disagree. Season by season, up until this year when he has been behind Brown and TMac, he has played more games every year. He also cracked the top 10 in the Bluey in 2020 and was in our top 5 for distance covered per game. I didn't say Weid should be allowed limitless time to develop, but pretty clearly there's a lot of context behind his development, his injuries and his opportunities, which is why I raised the example of Gawn. Jason Taylor made it pretty clear Weid was a longer term project when he was drafted.
  6. Should mention, Dr Gonzo pointed out above he went into the game with his face looking like that, my bad. Agree though, it's embarrassing that we rubbed out a bloke for two weeks for wrestling but Selwood can run through a guys head and get off.
  7. Just had a look at the replay, yeah it is before the game, so I stand corrected for the photo. (Not apologizing to Duckwood tho...)
  8. Is that before the game or at a quarter break?
  9. You want to 'publicise' a racist comment?
  10. And Gawn averaged 14 hitouts a game over his first 6 seasons... Should have delisted him in 2016 hey?
  11. Turning a thread about racism towards Indigenous Australians into a thread where boomers sook about being the victims of generalizations is a perfect example of how racism in Australia works. That clear enough for you?
  12. Imagine how Indigenous Aussies feel then boomer... Honestly, imagine that what you take out of this whole thing is that you're upset about how boomers are being presented. 🤦‍♂️
  13. Misrepresenting the picture a bit here. Parts of Queensland are still in lockdown, and for the rest there's still a fair amount of restrictions. QLD from what I read, had 1 case in the community during the infectious period, Victoria had 11. Fair difference there. Also, not totally sure why you think the government apparently 'leaking' that the lockdown may be extended has any bearing on their ability to get this under control?
  14. Thoughts and prayers.
  15. Imagine turning a thread about racism into being offended about being called a 'boomer'.
  16. Culture is built by guys like ANB. Work ethic, character, effort and consistency have made him a leader in a group with more decorated and celebrated players around him. One thing I've always noticed about him is he always gets around his team mates and is happy for them when they have their moments. It's been particularly noticeable with TMac this year and my guess is maybe they bonded a bit more in the offseason given their similar positions with the club. Congrats to Nibs.
  17. 1. Shouldn't be making the comment in any context. 2. Not sure the middle of a footy ground during an SANFL match is a "private" context.
  18. Can you link to the interview please? As far as I knew, he was called 'Choco' when he was a kid because he loved a specific type of chocolate ice cream. Williams himself didn't know he had distant Jamaican heritage until he was a grown man.
  19. Hibberd in the emergencies is interesting given he wasn't in the initial squad.
  20. You could be in for a new record today.
