  1. It's not always as black and white as that with these things though.

Yeah good call. Hadn't thought about that type of 'example impact'.

Genuine question: What makes you say that DJ?
  4. He's... not subtle... but that's the 'alignment' old TMac has taken it would seem. It's an interesting era we're in where the monetization of outrage and the exploitation of engagement continues unabated. Some of the topics covered (that TMac would actually have some genuine expertise in) look quite interesting, but sprinkling it through the conspiracies just puts me off providing it with further clicks. There's also that logo that looks just a little bit too much like a Q...
  5. I mean, who doesn't want to hear an AFL footballer talk about the morality of vaccine mandates, real estate agents, global population issues and how "misanthropy has infiltrated mainstream perspectives" with someone as 'open minded' as Matt Wong with his wide range of topics from 'Daniel Andrews will lose the next election' to 'The end of #IStandWithDan', 'Suburban Melbourne Turns on The Government', 'Daniel's Victoria: Divided', 'Labor: The Australian Lockdown Party' and of course 'Daniel The Good Dictator'.. I really admire how they stick to their 'diverse range of people on a huge variety of topics' ethos. Shocked a vegan leftie type like TMac would be associated with such a thing, even worse he's dragging his poor shy mate Bogut into it. Too much time with Ben Brown probably...

News just coming out former Dee Harley Balic has passed away aged 25. Very very sad news. Just to add - 24 hour support is available at Lifeline on 13 11 14.

To be fair though, Kate joined the board not long after PJ started with us and around about the same time Roos was signed. Who's to say she hasn't been pushing the 'unconsciously competent' mantra since back then? Some seem to forget Roffey has been there since the 'rebirth' began.
  8. Yep! Got lucky through a mate with connections and my daughter was able to present one of the medals. The club managed it amazingly too. She scored a premiership jumper, premiership hat and they're sending us professional photos too.
  9. Not all of them were because I never played a game for the Dees... ;)
  10. "They've been away from us but they've been training really hard, the boys," football operations boss Alan Richardson said. "If anything we've probably had to make a few calls to hold people back, which is a really good space to be in.

I'm not sure if DS's post is a joke or not tbh knowing this thread.... but... Catching COVID once does not make you "super immune". Being vaccinated greatly reduces the chances, but the reputable evidence at this early stage says yes, you can absolutely contract COVID more than once. The reports of it are rare, but it does happen. I would also suggest that 'long COVID' is not a fantastic thing to potentially carry into a season, especially one where you've missed half the preseason while infectious. My apologies if your post was in jest, but far out... seriously?

100% agree, but we seem to have entered an age where 'free speech' is a cover all license for any kind of behaviour without consequence.

There's been full sized gallows towed to Parliament House where people there attached the noose to a Daniel Andrews effigy. Numerous MPs have had their lives threatened and that of their partners and families. Some 'protestors' have taken to sharing the contact details and addresses of MPs supporting the bill and have shown up at their homes. One speaker spoke about wanting Dan Andrews 'dancing on the end of a rope'. Another spoke of the 'satanic peadophile cult'. Multiple Liberal Party MPs have publicly shared images of Dan Andrews as Hitler. One Liberal MP crashed his car while nearly 3 times over the legal limit - after having a few drinks with a QC who coincidentally had drafted an open letter slamming the new pandemic bill. Media crews have to be protected from attack by police. This all in the last few days or so. But binman's post is hyperbole?

Can highly recommend Chapel Tattoo. Great people and give great advice and ideas. Only thing I'd say though, while all the artists there are usually great, their styles are all very very different. I would have a look through their artists' instas and see what style you think suits your idea. Chat to them and email through your ideas and they'll point you in the right direction of who will suit.

Noticed there wasn't a thread, and seems like he might go somewhere around our first pick so could be interesting. Jesse Motlop Forward 177cm/77kg 23/11/03 South Fremantle/Western Australia The small forward had good experience at senior level this year with South Fremantle, including playing in its WAFL Grand Final loss. He booted nine goals from eight league games and showed his spark as a creative finisher. Motlop is a bubbly, bright personality who is a member of Fremantle's Next Generation Academy, but the Dockers will only get priority access on him after pick 40 under the metropolitan NGA rules. Motlop is the son of former Kangaroo and Power forward Daniel. Where does he go? The Giants have spent time on him and Motlop could be an option for them at No.15 if they don't go with Josh Rachele at pick No.2. Fremantle could look at No.19 to remove any doubt and North Melbourne has been linked at No.20 as the Roos look for a small forward, but there is also a chance he gets through the next batch of picks and is available in the 30s.

Mate, you're swinging so wildly that you're landing a few blows on yourself...

So, it would be great to get this pandemic over with then yeah? Guess what our best way of getting there is...

Ha. Read that again. Not factually correct. They received advanced orders but accepted 0 funding for the work. Not factually correct. They currently charge the US $19.50 per dose. Most of their other other vaccines cost between $150-200. They're making between 20-30% per dose. Not sure where you've got "700%" from other than just making it up or a QAnon board. You may want to look more into those particular two countries, notable the Brazilian president who could be charged. India is a more complicated picture, but ironically given the angle you're trying to take they have a huge problem with vaccine hesitancy rather than vaccine supply. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-56345591

You mean, like when a world expert in scientific misconduct was threatened with legal action for pointing out flawed hydroxychloroquine studies? Righto... https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/may/22/world-expert-in-scientific-misconduct-faces-legal-action-for-challenging-integrity-of-hydroxychloroquine-study https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/aug/03/microbiologist-elisabeth-bik-queried-covid-research-thats-when-the-abuse-and-trolling-began Or when scientists are threatened with physical and sexual violence and murder? https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02741-x Heaven forbid you would listen to the vast majority of actual experts on these matters rather than disproven crackpots and YouTube.
