Can be, depends who teaches it. I am not suggesting corporate ra, ra.
-
Leadership is natural to some, the likes of Johnno Brown, selwood and co. Other learn it through being taught. Does anyone know if our leaders do accredited leadership training.
-
I think you are too fixated on the running aspect of his game. I am happy for him primarily to be the number two defender and nullify the Browns and Hawkins.
-
Yeah I see, I am a Frost fan in that he has some elite attributes, is young, durable and I am not convinced he has been coached well. Hawks are masters at improving the likes of Frost. I go back all the way to playing school footy with Dipper when his main attribute was just a giant punch at the ball and up and under disposal. He became an elite kicker of the ball and a lot more.

Not sure why you are talking about keath JD. Salem is a neat but underwhelming player for me.

To anyone who suspects they have depression. Ask for help, but importantly get the right help. Not just the first person you see. Primarily it is a chemical imbalance, nothing to do with strength or weakness.
-
So true, others such as Lever and Salem gain little distance and sometimes hurt momentum
-
Yeah, Bit late to say that in Sept when he is out of contract buck
-
I am so puzzled on this. We are cool on keeping him but Players X Y Z and so on are required. The ANB get rewarded for mediocre performance and potential, others who do not put in enough effort stay on the list and then Frosty who has a 100 per cent crack gets no surety No way to build a list.. My suspicion is he caught the Hawks eye in the finals last year.

A fan favorite in a team lacking characters to make it worth a watch. His value may have risen in 2019, sure, but why have we waited until Sept to try and lock his signature in. Demonlanders have seen his worth for quite a while now. Maybe not so the Club. Better player than Lever because he takes the no1 or 2 defender that Lever cannot.

Kade Kolodjashnij on Battling Concussion
Sorry kids replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am in two minds with KK. On one hand I want him out there playing good footy again. On the other I do not like that he could do further harm to himself and having a player on the list one collision away from being finished. I would consider coming to some sort of deal with him, acknowledging the recruitment error and moving on. -
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON

I have never watched this bloke with any interest. Where would he play? -
Might know your mate.
-
He joined a group of us one night for a drink. Genuine friendly bloke.
-
I am concerned. Second time in two days I have agreed with Moonshadow. I too got a good feel about the way Petty held his ground up forward.
-
Gee Binman, you are at least consistent in defending the clubs every move. My guess is that richo himself will have a fair say in what his responsibilities are and what his role will be.. What a ridiculous situation Who do you think this guy is, some sort of coaching superstar. In truth, he is a failure . And as for the other clubs wanting him so we had to hurry and sign him. Three card trick. And we fell for it.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Sorry kids replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wonder why we never considered approaching a well located Junior Club with a proposal to house their facilities in a new purpose built complex with community facilities. Training time clashes would not be of any concern as long gone are the days of afternoon training We would not use the ground for matches so no problems there. it also puts us well on the way to being a community hub -

Pies had a heartland and still have massive community involvement. And one swallow...... -
If you threw the premiership clock out the premiership window in summer it could be a premiership drought, however at MFC never a premiership hangover.
-
Another finals series where we have indigenous players showing a clean pair of heels and class. Note to our recruiters. get Neville Jetta on a roadtrip with the recruiters and interview every indigenous talent that has nominated for the draft.

Wiseblood seems to have caught on ok dazzle.

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.

Fantastic analysis. There is a lot more to coaching than running drills. I would add many need to work on skills on the opposite side of their body. Viney to look at how Smith has thrived without the Captaincy and become even more single minded in his specific role. Weid to look at Nick Riewolt tapes and lead up the ground. Oliver to learn some forward craft. Salem work on gaining an extra 10-15 metres with each disposal. In cricket terms again, Stretch gotta get off the back foot and be a front foot player. Players to follow Big Maxy lead an work on their deficiencies. Its up to them, not the coaches to be proficient in AFL elite skills. -
Where do people think we are on the Premiership Clock? I have us somewhere between 5-7pm as of today. I have only had us around 11pm once, the year our beloved Stynes ran over the mark.
-
Yeah, well that is your call, and not for the first time you are wrong.
-
I would be teaching Oliver the forward craft. Would be very dangerous having spells down forward.
