The consumer spending percentages are down on all items except alcohol - that's way up. Melbourne supporters responsible for one industry's good fortune.?
-
I'm watching cat videos.
-
When did Aliir Aliir learn how to play football, but he is killing it. Hang your heads in shame Melbourne players. Skills are no good.
-
Yeah they play like drooping flowers.
-
Seriously, I think we should change the name. We have been cursed.
-
EITHER SMITH GOES OR GOODWIN GOES. TAKE YOUR PICK MFC. -FED UP LONG TIME MELBOURNE SUPPORTER/SUFFERER.
-
OKAY, I'VE TRIED TO BE NICE BUT THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO STRONG TACKLING, DROPPING MARKS ETC ETC, NO DESIRE. PLAYING SMITH HAS DISRUPTED THE BACKLINE. THE EXPERIMENT IS OVER. IF THE PLAYER IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH THEY DON'T PLAY. NO MORE CHARITY PICKS. OUTSMARTED BY A SMART SIDE. SYDNEY ARE SMART AND WANT TO WIN NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE ON THE LADDER.
-
Please stop talking about putting Smith anywhere on a football field. He doesn't belong there. The defence is a mess.
-
So, dropping the ball in front of you when you are tackled is the new tactic. Play on.
-
Would be nice to take advantage of the wind....
-
Love the mental picture of this. Beautiful work. Get it done I say!?

Oh, how I miss Kevin Bartlett and his "Goose of the Week". Cornes would be like Meryl Streep and bore everyone stupid by winning it EVERY week.
-
Let me help. "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey" Repeat. Repeat. (To the tune of Bony M's Rasputin) You're welcome.?

I thought Charlie's tackling was fantastic. Isn't that what we want our players to do? We are always yelling 'tackle them!' If Martin or Dangerfield do it they are praised no end. What is going on. Does Melbourne play in some sort of AFL parallel universe?
-
Spargo was charged with Rough Conduct ( Dangerous Tackle ) against John Noble, Collingwood, during the third quarter of the Round 12 match at the Gabba, August 15. $1000 fine with early plea.
-
Liked the vision of Goodwin jumping around on the sidelines shouting instructions in those last frantic seconds. Good to see the passion and pressure in action. Also, looking to next week - confidence from a win with some inspiring performances is a wonderful thing.

Yes, he needs some sympathy. I know how he feels. When you gotta go, you gotta go.

What they're saying down at Linton Street
Dame Gaga replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm sure it's okay now, I went there years ago. I meant it as tongue in cheek. And yes, I agree with you about Chadstone. That's a place for the busloads of tourists and people who want to start blues with you in the carpark. -

Southland shopping centre..... I had to go there for an appointment many, many years ago. I think Paul Keating had that place in mind with his [censored] end of the earth remark. -
Thanks for the laughs. Loved this quote, "We couldn't stop May, and it's frigging August." Classic. ?

Christian is civilized. He politely asks for a fork and spoon. He's a good boy.

Ratten does himself no favours pouting about it. I thought better of him than that. It was a clear goal. Yes it was touched, after it crossed the line. He should accept it. The goal umpire was right there. Ratten's team also got the benefit of some doubtful free kicks. Funny how no coach complains about that.
-
That was so clearly a goal. The goal umpire saw it and I saw it from my lounge room ?It was only the field umpire wanting to get his face on TV. Perhaps his family was watching. Had to prove he wasn't entirely useless.

As an aside, what was the 7 commentators obsession with Max King? Every time he went near the ball or flew for a mark, which he never took, they started yelling like he was the best thing since sliced bread. I didn't see him do much. Did he?
