  1. Hey guys love the podcast. Listen every week. It's a staple of my footy weekend wrap up. Love the emotion and anxiousness from Andy that many of us feel, love the calmness and analysis of @binman and love the balance that @george_on_the_outer brings to the table. My question tonight is primarily for George but you all can jump in. George you, like myself, have questioned Melksham's role in the side particularly due to his lack of pressure. I agree also agree with Andy's analysis of the role of small/med forwards in that they have to bring something to the table and it's either got to be pressure in the form of tackles or pressure acts or you have to hit the scoreboard or be involved in scoring chains. With the exception of the Port game Melksham has been lacking in his pressure as was majorly evidenced in the Bulldogs game. Despite him not having any tackles on Friday night, and George I know that would have irked you, he did provide a leading option as small/medium on a wet night when the tall forwards weren't going to be marking. He hit the scoreboard with 1 goal and could easily have been 2 or 3 if not for some wayward kicking and was involved in 7 scoring chains. I reckon he is adding something to the forward line including a bit of mongrel and hardness. George can you see yourself embracing Melksham into the fold? Can you see him being a part of the team in September? If not who replaces him?
  2. It might not be a popular opinion and it might be too early but I'd roll the dice with Van Rooyen. What could go wrong playing a first gamer on Queen's Birthday.
  3. The restaurant is a newly fitted out restaurant in Greville St, Prahran. They would 100% have CCTV footage in the reception desk area where the cash register is and also outside the front door. If they do there is definitely footage of it and if the damage is as bad as they say it is ie: breaking the desk then why have we not seen the footage or a photo of the broken table? I'm sure the media outlets are salivating at the prospect of such footage emerging and would no doubt pay for it. Where is the footage or at the very least a photo of this damaged table? I'm not doubting that the table was broken but they seem so upset about it (and rightly so if damage has occurred with no apology) but nevertheless I'd like to see the damage that has caused the outrage.
  4. I think you meant Round 12 for Casey
  5. Still no word from the club in regards to the results of Max’s scans from yesterday. Whilst I agree we should rest Max this week I am worried we haven’t heard anything and fear that the damage is worse than at first thought.
  6. They won’t leave for Perth until Friday
  7. Gawn and Lever will be rested. Weideman and Tomlinson will come in.
  8. 6. Oliver 5. Brayshaw 4. Langdon 3. Petracca 2. May 1. Pickett
  9. Should we be worried that we did not hear about any results from Max’s scans today?
  10. Love it that he named his child after Clayton Oliver. Congrats Max and Jess.
  11. Is the Knight poster in that frame full sized? What are the dimensions of the frame?
  12. Ahhhh .... yes .... of course .... that's definitely what I meant.
  13. Hopefully they all test negative. A positive test result would definitely force us into a compacted fixture later in the year.
  14. Strange that a 2 second rev up to a couple of the boys was enough to get us the win but the Saints couldn't use the emotion of Spud's game to come out firing.
  15. This is going to get very ugly.
  16. I’m here for the Goodwin Sacking Countdown. Bring back the Is Goody the Right Guy Thread.
  17. I'm tipping this kid will be this years Trent Rivers in terms of immediate impact as well as being a long term prospect.
  18. Usually practice matches are a chance to play players in different roles or play players not in the 22 to see how they perform under match conditions against another team. No team ever plays their best 22 in a practice match. Do we have a practice match this week or is the OP referring to the Preseason Comp?
  19. I'm not saying he can't play or won't develop into something but I just wouldn't be getting too excited about the prospect. Sure the idea of a favourite sons son coming to play for us is romantic.
  20. Hopefully we can snag an inside mid to add to the set.
  21. Would the club be interest in framed signed guernseys? I have multiple ones that I've made over the years. The only problem is that none of them have certificates of authentication as I've been the one to collect the signatures and have organised for them to be framed. They are all legit and I have players from the 80s and 90s. They are all just in my garage and they probably deserve to be displayed somewhere.
  22. I hope Mahoney's not phoning it in for his last trade period with the club. If we can't bring in outside pace because of poor list management then that is on him.
  23. General question: What benefit is it for a player to publicly nominate a particular club? Assume the answer is they only want to play for that club and want to make their intentions clear to their current club and any other potential suitors. If that is the case why haven't we been nominated? Either he's still contemplating other offers or perhaps an in principle deal or dealings between us and North are already in place and there isn't a need to publicly nominate.

It was his doubling down that has now cost @Dr evil all credibility with any future mail that he purports to have. He was arrogantly adamant that Smith would be a Demon in 2021 that people were led to believe that a contract had been signed and the club was just waiting for the perfect media cycle window to roll him out. I absolutely love whispers at this time of year but I've lost all confidence in his inside word. He pushed this one too hard and now has to live with the consequences that he is tarnished goods now. RIP sweet prince.

I think I’ll be relieved if he chooses the cats. I’d love him at the Dees for a year. Maximum two. Couple years ago it would have been a no brainer. Let the Cats have him.
