  1. No we have to have 40,000 minimum of our existing members of say 75,000 next season attending and that will be sufficient to continue our rise.
  2. Thanks DD Bad mistake.
  3. Kelli was not a commentator last night. it was Chylow ..... or similar. Sorry name is incorrect. But who cares.
  4. Firstly Harmes is a good player in certain situations tagging mostly. But he tries to do too often the Fusty send off and gets caught trying snd doesn't learn. I have no doubt Harmesy thinks he had been hardly done but needs to get over that. Sort of agree with you re depth he's handy to have but his set shot goal kicking has tapered off also. Don't agree with you re Laurie. Small sample but looked good as sub vs Swans snd Hawks. But not so in the QUAL final when he came in early. Think he has a year to run on his contract ( not sure) but feel if he could play as per sub form he would be a very good AFL player clever poised and team oriented plus good disposal. Whst does Woew need to do other than get more experience ? Games into him is the key. Looked good.
  5. But those picks pushing out the numbers are already "earmarked" for Academy or Father/Son and can be selected at any time with the points or eligibility. The other selections are still available in total just pushed back one in the system for every pick made from these choices.
  6. But he Sanders was the freebie if it was given. They wanted him as he was adjudged as part of their North Academy by the AFL. They definitely wanted him because of that and were wanting no restrictions on him. But fortunately AFL for once didn't give this as a freebie. Just shows how AFL are hypocritical even on their own decisions. What a wasted piece of posturing by both.
  7. Sanders not available till after pick 40. North won't get him. ( same rule as for Mac Andrews.)
  8. Pass we don't need any extra half backs thanks I don't think.
  9. They cannot actually. After Pick 40.
  10. Not the worst suggestion either. But more of a reserve Back than a goal kicking ruck resting forward!! Bit like Tommo I suspect pace not his best asset but is solid in body snd now in mind.
  11. Don't get involved He is trouble. Just when Maxy might be unavailable Ladhams is likely to be out suspended by the Tribunal. He is another Pruess perennially out when he is needed. Not a great player either, if he was any good why did Kenny let him leave Port?
  12. McLean recently signed a contract for at least 2 years so he won't be part of any swap or deal.
  13. Why would you say even if the result doesn't go our way? The treat is our magnificent form and if we get beaten the treat most likely won't be a treat!!
  14. Rubbish So if we had a home base since 1964 we would be leading the AFL/VFL Premiership winners on about 20 flags. Do Pigs really fly ?
  15. Thst can be changed at the drop of a contract quite easily.
  16. Thats a ridiculous comparison. JJ was a perfectly legit sub as part of our 23 immortals thst won the game. That he missed out on getting on the field is again a quirk of Goody's inflexibility. McStay was injured last Friday night and consequently never considered for the team. Nor was Taylor Adams. Ginnivan looks like being the JJ and no doubt is about 99.9 % chance of about playing the last 30/40 mins especially if they need a lift. Two entirely different scenarios. Your comment has AFL written all over it. No connection at all between the scenarios.
  17. Our B and F is a slightly different animal to other awards. Our coaches vote precisely along the lines of how a player carried out his role according to their instructions. Refer Jack Vineys consistently high positions each year. This year he IMO might just be the best bet for the Bluey as it has been his best season without doubt. And if he has almost cost Trac a Brownlow instead of Clarry the writing to me is on the wall. He got max votes where as I think Trac in the last 6 rounds should have got about 5/6 votes instead of the pittance awarded. We shall see on Oct 6 th.
  18. Really be careful what you wish for. Most of the fluff over Naughton is not trading the situation. With JVR and Petty we already have 2 players thst will be good/great for our forward line over the nxt 7/10 years. In case most of DLers if they have any knowledge of footy they would have realised that JVR is the closest player in style to Aaron. Both jump if there is no tomorrow spread packs snd the ball can be marks ( about 1 in 4 ) times. Crumbers are mandatory at the front and centre and another forward should be at the bsck of the pack for that opportunity to run or snapshot a goal. One major difference is that JVR is highly accurate AN is not. Other big difference is that Aaron is 4 years ahead of JVR and scored 45 goals to JVR's 29 this year. I believe JVR is far stronger in the body and is more suited to the hurly burly of the FF position. Comparing Petty is a small sample but what Ican say is AN has scored a top of 9 goals ( I think) in 4 years and Harry a top of 6 goals in about 8/10 mostly part time roles at FF of which 4/5 have been full time. I would have Petty at FF, JVR in the pocket snd part time ruck ( prob with Naughton) and Aaron as CHF. I would hope that Jefferson was not squeezed out if this recruiting coup was ever done this or next year. Potentially all three should get major ie 45 plus goals if not up to 69/70 if they all played on our forward line. Fritta would still get goals because he is the brains behind many of his snaps marks snd opportunities. Yes Kossie Chandler McAdam ANB Bowser Salem and Spargo who ever plays small should also join the gravy train and get their kick if the ice cream ( goals) if this trade ever sees the light of the day Trac will have to muscle in as he does and get his 30 or plus per year also. Watch out Lions we are coming for you if ever we have these players at our disposal in our dream forward line hopefully a multi flagged one also.
  19. Read "The Roar" comment on the case and it sums it up perfectly Azz. Maynard had no intention of avoiding or not jumping as he clearly and illegally launched himself off the ground to inflict whatever damage occurred and then the case wrongly gave him a leeway falsely excusing him on the .
  20. Sorry about what ? That was then just remember Gawny early on. That was what the stage the Club was at.
  21. That's years ago and don't tell me TMac would be any greater liability if he was tried in defence than asa forward now. His kicking has improved so he wouldn't be a liability as he is able to pass now. You forget TMac was plunged into AFL far earlier than he was ready and had to learn while learning with very average back men no Mays or Levers to cover up. He was the first tall then came Danny Frawley who did much the same and ended up having a great year he was AA. Then he defected to the Hawks after he was also placed at CHF to assist our underwhelming attack. They covered up for him if he made an error and replaced Ben Gibson after he retired I recall. ( hopefully correctly). .
  22. Dumb Dumb Dumb thats right ONE day in Sept that's all we would have !!
  23. Why is the that do you think Haven't heard this before. Always had to give way to F/S and some Academy picks.
