Absolute rubbish as he has requested to come to Melb the city and team so that's quite smart he has done some homework. I have seen him live at the Gabba ( go to about 7/8 games a season when not coming to Melb for about 6/7 Dees games at the G) and us quite a good mark and is not overwhelmed in competing in the ruck. Bring 24 and 200cm he could blossom like Maxy at 23 in 2015. I reckon he has the skills and mobility to be a chance for a key position player forward or back also if we need one. He has not had a lot of games and even in those only quarters or halves or some bench time. Good mark and better in air than Jacko was. I am predicting he will be quite a surprise. Please don't compare him with the Shack he is farbmore competitive with out being a beast. From memory a reliable kick for goal and has reasonably good mobility for a 200cm. unit. In summary very good pick up and adding McAdam and Tom while not considered stars if they are good to reasonable AFL will add two more styles to our forward line to utilise plus assist Maxy most importantly at times. Also those who want to discourage JVR from rucking are not thinking this thoroughly. It's all experience for him and he is so competitive he will end up getting ruck infringement frees plus he is not hopeless on the ground where so many other rucks are not very good. He will be going for second efforts like Jacko did and be a regular on the assist score figures. He needs this opportunity to learn tuck craft at this stage of his career even if there is a chance he may be injured. My take is that it will be the other player that is more likely to suffer than JVR solely due to his style of play and instincts in excess of the other players. It also will keep himself honest as he competes with defenders for marks plus at any time he may be switched on down back to assist our boys down there to mind someone doing some damage. Two trade recruits already who knows who else may Bob up or be traded before the closing date.

If I watched more than ONE episode of Seinfeld for 5 minutes that's about how much I have watched and of about a dozen American " comedies" in my 75 years. Others for eg. are Fraser Don't Tell Your Mother, another with an actor who was named Earle etc. A friend made me watch the LAST episode of Seinfeld about 25/30 years ago and it was a waste of time really. Even though I have had Foxtel for 15 years I have never watched repeats of the American comedies. I did watch "The Nanny" and liked that I was into British comedies ie Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served and Yes Minister with IMO far superior if vastly different comedy lines and topics. Something says your desire to come up with a deal is overtaking realism in this proposed trade. Why should Melb pay $1.2 to Giants who have overpaid some of their top players for years so they can keep them and now Haines is yesterday's fish and chips wrapper. Just because we want Harley Reid. There are probably easier ways of getting hold of another top 10 pick and Suns and Cats might be a chance. And how do you know Melb might not prefer and be ready to throw $1.1 mill at a Harry McKay or other key forward. JT and his crew would be all over this I reckon and we may find out any moves over the next few trade days.

I haven't seen either live and watched limited highlights but Reid gives you his package of elite skills plus kicks goals to boot. Where did you get $1mill. ? it's always been $500,000. It's most likely we could have this game substituted by a Marvel game which could be any if the home ground Marvel teams. A game vs Bullies or Saints is an away fixture and any interstate team we wouldn't make any real profit from anyway. Despite this our record at Marvel is good since we started winning there.We could get 28/30,000 plus vs Saints or Dogs not sure if that's a profit or not.

I don't think there is any guarantee that would happen continually each season. The fixture is a movable object and not all seasons draws are alike. It may occur but not as a definite part of our fixture annually and I can't see the Club asking for it necessarily. But it could nevertheless happen on occasions.

It's not status quo if Angus Harry Jake and JVR are available for all Finals in 2024 as they were not in 2023. That's a 2 and 7 point margin breaker by about 4/5 goals IMO.

Jake has earnt this on top of his feats in 2023. Who knows but our list is evolving and recruits and youngsters should provide enough excitement to join with the list staples champs and role players to mss add Le a serious assault on the 2024 flag.

The "crowd pitch" whatever that is don't know their footy. If Dees are to salute in either 2024/5 then Harry has to play Forward. The crowd are caught up like Goody was and even he realises Harry is just as suited up forward just as he is in defence and it makes us a much harder team to beat.

As far as I have heard subject to medical checks Gus is intending to play on. So far he has received positive news from all medical tests. Needs another last result only now from a team of experts or such like.

Not sure your opinion on this is remotely accurate. If Melb forfeit their $500,000 game in NT Alice they would play their 11 th home game at the MCG or have one home game at Marvel which they have asked not to be fixtured over the last decade. The AFL would not take a genuine home game away from our fixture as all Clubs are entitled to 11 home games in their draw in a 22 game season. Your out of line call thetbthe AFL could schedule an 11th home game sat at Launceston's US University Ovsl and call it a home game vs the Hawks is never going to happen. No Club either is going to request that venue as Hawthorn has a 70% plus winning ratio there even though irbid helped by allowing for them playing interstate and lower Clubs at that venue. Don't worry it won't happen.

Wrong we have Petty and potentially JVR short term and long term possibly MAtty Jefferson. And a high draft pick or big trade should see another. Not all lost adding in our other pieces in the puzzle.

To be honest Petty is the single best Hope we have of solving our forward line problems. I have no hesitation in saying he is/ will be a better player than McKsy Tilthorpe is still maturing and Lynch has been there done that. All our questions from D/Lers re Perry's injury should cool their jets and wait till he comes back. My opinion Harry is a better chance 7 years younger than Lynch at 31 with a season long foot problem. The karma of Tom playing a Maynard role has come back to bite. No way should Harry be available for trade he is worth 2 of the Crows young forward flankers.

This is what coaching and renewing game plans snd new staff are great. A new voice and ideas. Haven't heard of any other changes but will be furious if no forward coach change is made. I personally would have been happy for Andrew to be the new forward coach Let's wait and see.

Bang you are probably right that that was the reason he wanted out but the point I made is that ND was too ready to say yes only thinking that Jeff White could ruck alone and do the job. Of course Jama was around snd cover maybe but we lost out through ND too easy a yes to Jolly. Is what I gleaned to this trade.
