  1. Who are you implicating with this comment? Fading star who has suggested that? MFC haven't and name one anyway? And if you are having a go at BBB then that's unfair. He helped us win in 2021 and owes us nothing more if he has to retire due to his knee fitness issues.
  2. You can't leave a player as a regular sub week after week. Players must get regular full matches no matter how they perform as a sub. We have had JJ Joel Smith Melky and a couple of others for too long sometimes.
  3. Good point BE If BBB and Tmac can't provide they then JVR or Joel Smith or Brodie or more likely PETTY are the candidates.
  4. I is know it's easy sitting back and potting selections but it's a forum and here goes Werribee maybe Tommo in and Petty forward Also Sestan has to be a forward but Casey is about opportunity and training but ring goes not look like a position for him. A 10 fudposal game with 3 goals snd 4:5 score assists plus a tackle count of 3 or above is his challenge with an extended full per season next season. Bombay How can you pick our best 23 without Petty if not say CHB he at least should be CHF or FF. Can any one update Howes at the moment please. Injured? If so why is he not on the list featured each week with either Dr Laura or HP guru Selwyn. Just asking as his form has been good over recent matches. Would he be worth trying on our forward line ie HFF at all or any where else?
  5. Guess our looking at another defender is not such a big deal if we snagged Harley Reid. Maybe Brodie could play CHB if needed!! Hold on we would need a replacement for both wouldn't we? Ben McKay and one of the DeKonings looks alright! No Worries! Plus Harley.
  6. Josh Gabelich to be fair did go down to training at Goschs but not with Nat or any other journalist or AFL scribe on that site.
  7. It's not possible that Tommo's form was overrated on KB. Yes it was I believe his best all round game for us as we got drive from his game not just defence. 83,000 plus saw his game and he is at the moment after that and at Casey at the top of his game. Not a great selection decision to drop him ( one of Goody's worst in fact) and Petty should have been eased back in with a Casey game and CHF on his and our minds! Where has thjs experiment gone without a full blown chance of success? And why ? Therefore Tommo commands consideration as an AFL standard defender great back up and up there with May Rick and Petty as he can handle a key position say on Hawkins, Lewis if need be and perhaps Casboult. Unfortunately Disco can't play that role but is Levers back up or a HB flanker intercepting. Try he Suns game proved that even though it appears harsh on Disco at this stage. One of the posters here has said he wouldn't lose any SLEEP if Tommo was not with us next year. Well I think most thinking Dees fans know he would need replacing especially if we want Petty to still try as a forward. For the very reasons above Tommo is needed when we are serious about our depth and a quality defender available. Name who can replace him? No one whether you are awake or asleep!!! Jed Adams May in 12 mths time if he builds his frame but not this year at this stage of his development. So it's great that Tommo is back and actually I won't lose ANY sleep if he is asked to mind one of the Crows talls but I sure would if we didn't have him. PS Joel Smith in certain circs May be up to it but I don't think we can be sure yet to rely on him on the bigger KP giants that are looking for goals.
  8. And a VFL flag last season also and finals in 2021.
  9. Thanks Leo for this very helpful post. We still have some irons in the fire and Chandler back might just be the trick instead of Spargy pants. More aggression and hopefully more GOALS.
  10. The next best forward/Rick for us at present is JVR. The more rucking/general play he gets means the more influence and marking he does means some goals, just as many as he would get if just parked at Ff or in the pocket. Unleash him like vs Carlton and see him develop like Jacko did and play a part in our forward development and scoring potential, but get him mobile and pro active snd he will succeed and we will also.
  11. Apologies of sorts as allI I read was from the last comment/s and also missed the post or whatever has been posted to members. My emails have not been checked for yesterday so there may be a MFC email with this good news, however it's occurred. PS In my defence also yesterday I was busy flying from Lisbon to Amsterdam for pleasure not business and out with friends last night and that's why I turned immediately to the last two emails on Page 18 in the membership category as I thought we may have got to 65,000 but not to 67,000 plus. So Jontee May we'll have the last laugh!!
  12. Yes Kate Roffey's handball ing is very weak snd that BradGreen doesn't kick like he used to. What a stupid comment. Blame the Board!! Prey tell why you blame them and not the players snd Coach's or other reasons like injuries perhaps? And what is the significance of 68k? Last year it was 66,000 odd. It's about 1,500 below now and there was a late rush near the end when we finished second on the ladder last season. I bet many D/Landers are waiting to hear your explanation please or are you saying this tongue in cheek which is just as stupid!
  13. Gee we have some Salty old mean and twisted D/Lers. At their stages of their career any award is a recognition of some achievement or level of standard. Its virtually a Brownlow for all the "Best First Year" club winners. Oops suppose you all want that Club award sent to the bottom of the ocean also. Get a bit of life and joy for the draftees recruits etc. and offer some hope.
  14. That's the point I made in my response to WW's highly biased case for Kossie on the figures he produced. His numbers were given about the same as 2022 and lately his figures have dropped alarmingly and goals scored of course to cause this situation that some refuse to admit exists. Now AAA have highlighted it there is no doubt his effect and impact have plummeted and no amount of "kossie spin" about defensive acts and fatigue because of high game time vs Giants. Did he really get 19 possessions that game? it's difficult because we all love Kossie but our forward line can't carry passengers who can't kick their goal numbers. Spargo and ANB will have to be dropped if we can't kick goals enough to win games. Goody better start tweaking with our game plan with no more defensive forwards who don't help our scoring.
  15. Maysie won't get a swag of votes this year as his firm dad dipped earlier in the season and he has just in the last weeks regained his best vote winning ways.
  16. Well they don't change dramatically from top to bottom each year with dogs or other false forms so just let's not make a mountain out of a molehill or you will be agreeing with Demon Hawk and we can't have that on D/L. Can we?
  17. Those figures should not be used as he should be getting at least 25% more output now in his fourth year. He is just not impacting games on Sony way at all:
  18. He probably hasn't even started on his new contract until the end of the year. The report I think still occupies his mind and he is overthinking how to play. That's part of the reason I think why he has lost some ability to be pro active and positive in case he hurts or gets reported again. I can only think a game at Casey may help him overcome this situation otherwise put him to half back for 10 mins st the start of a game. Or make him the Sub.
  19. We had some there celebrating some milestones Kev and you got a little bit putout because "no one told me" about it. Training would be attended more if we only used Goschs and I respect what you have done in getting to Casey some times under duress. We have all appreciated your excellent efforts at bringing the news from the track and hope it's easier for the rest of the season on you and we finish off in style with some wins and have a say in Finals this year again like 2021.
  20. Please don't put every one else in the same category as you who doesn't care.
  21. One of our very best and played right up to that form in the GF. Third best on ground and have Vimeo back this year very much in form. Keep on going Salo and hope you play in another flag with us in the next year or two. Congratulations on your 150 games with the mighty Dees.
  22. Really WW ! All your figures prove what people are saying snd that is Kossie is not playing as well as he can. This is his fourth year now and we all would have expected him to raise the bar especially after Round1 's tremendous form when playing in the centre ball ups and a bit round the ground! (He has not done this recently and Goody should be asked why). I believe his impact is much less and you didn't even mention the over the top attempts for MOC which ha has no fit near any at all and should be waiting front and centre or at the back for crumbs to kick goals. Oh and the free kicks especially down the ground are costly. Your poor attempt to say that others are wrong has misfired blatantly snd I love Kossie but he has got to be more team orientated and impactful now more than ever with Fritta and Clarry out.
  23. For all the doubters about our 2022 Woe's debut is the third from our VFL flag plus Chin's 15 games. He had a reasonable wait after his first 3 or 4 AFL games. For those who have chronically undervalued our Casey Dees Flag in 2022 and the team efforts it's great credit to all the Coaches and the boys for all their training and playing and extra WA pre season work. Rooy back this week to replace Fritta would be great.
