  2. His mobility/agility is better than I remembered. Some of those snaps where he gathered the loose ground balls were impressive.
  3. I agree but if you get him for a nothing pick (since it'd be a cap dump by the Pies), you'd have to take him. Would still walk into our 22.
  4. Bombers eyeing St Kilda speedster Hind https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/bombers-eyeing-st-kilda-speedster-hind-20201101-p56ahc.html
  5. Yep I think it’s spin.
  6. Just received word Brown’s better than a 50/90 chance of coming.
  7. Pressure is building on Geelong to come up with a pay rise to keep breakout star Sam Menegola beyond the end of the next season. The 28-year-old had a career-best year in 2020, making his first All Australian squad as the Cats reached the grand final. But his future will be clouded until he puts pen to paper on a new deal, with 7NEWS Perth’s Ryan Daniels reporting rival clubs are standing by to chase Menegola. Geelong signed Hawthorn wingman Isaac Smith, who turns 32 in December, on Friday. As part of their tilt at a premiership they will also add GWS forward Jeremy Cameron and North Melbourne midfielder Shaun Higgins by the end of the trade period. But while those additions were seen as reasonable given Gary Ablett has retired and the Cats had salary cap space previously earmarked to re-sign Tim Kelly, Menegola’s emergence was not so predictable.

100k per game/year is an impressive contract

Was about to ask the same!

Not fussed on Smith, Phillips would be an equally fine acquisition in my mind. More keen for Brown to be confirmed.

  15. If you were to replace Neal Bullen with another genuine small forward (obviously T Mac won't be there) then he just might be right...
  16. How's the kick from Frosty, sums it up doesn't it ?

Based on about 12 seconds of highlight videos, I think Macrae suits us better but Perkins has better upside or 'star' potential

Not sure steak knife type players traded for crap picks count
  19. Some seem to think Hogan to Richmond is still in play. Also, T Mac may be seen a defender for GWS?

    Could you be his mentor?
  21. Surely we're into this guy? His name has been thrown around a bit (not linked with us though I don't think):
  22. I think it is interesting to note that when we talk about our bottom 4 or 5 players on match day, almost all of them play in the forward line. ANB, AVB, Jones, Hannan, maybe even Melksham this year. We keep talking about mid/forward connection, but it must be difficult when all of your weakest players on the field every week essentially play the same position.
  23. Reckon they'd view McDonald as a key defender with Corr going.

Yeah. He supported them as a kid and they're actively interested in him so think everyone's putting 2 + 2 together. Hopefully he slips through to us.
