I still think there's a backman in there, took 3 contested marks on the weekend so can do some good things. Would like him to have a run of games where he's in the D50 only. McDonald a little out of sorts at the moment last 2 weeks, are we lacking May's voice/leadership at the back?

Where do we begin; Too flat; Too tall; Let them have too much of the ball; Essendon with 41 clearances, season average for them is 24.8 Efficiency inside 50 down, made them look like a team of AA defenders Gave away the pill too often; Obviously injuries to Salem/Melk didn't help, umpiring was almost as bad as we were, i know we were cabbage but momentum killer in the 3rd

Glad to see Howes/Sharp take steps forward. They've got the running/athletic capacity needed for the system. Add in Chin, clog players/role players that run all day are crucial now.
