  1. I totally know where you are coming from, I tip against the dees every week in footy tipping. It's the old win win situation, or at least, consolation. Just like you, I'd rather come last in my tipping comp if it means the dees winning all the time. It's pretty clear you bleed red and blue. who cares what others might say.
  2. I knew this would happen, I just knew it. That was their grandfinal, and we didnt show up.
  3. My thoughts exactly. Last year, everyone was potting Tomlinson, he was out of form and struggling to get a consistent game. At the start of the year, everyone was talking about how important he was to our defence. methinks BBB will be back in a big way next year.
  4. Thats a good point, I can't say my memory of how effective his disposal was is very clear. A quick stats search reveals some interesting stuff. (all are averages from the afl website) Disposal efficiency: 69.3 (considered below average) Intercept marks: 2.4 (elite) Intercept possessions: 7.1 (elite) Spoils: 4.2 (elite) Contested one on one defence: 2.1 (elite) So yes, you're very much correct in saying that his disposal needs tidying up. But his defensive game all round puts forward a very compelling case that he could be more than just depth next year. Hopefully he gets a good run at it without injuries.
  5. I'd be happy to stick with Marty Hore, that bloke played really well in what was a shocking 2019 side. Imagine how well he could play with this defence around him.
  6. Intense flashbacks to round 23 2017.... send help, quickly.
  7. Angus handled that well, he's great on the podcast and a very smooth operator in media interviews. Clarry will keep racking up brownlow votes and derm will keep eating meat pies and thats fine with me.
  8. Trent Rivers has the composure and footy iq of a 200 game player. he was superb again tonight!
  9. Commentary team barracking for Brisbane is really starting to annoy.
  10. Umpires are literally playing for Brisbane
  11. Umpires doing their finest
  12. Certainly 'pudding' my allegiance out there
  13. what about a slice of humble frittata ... ?
  14. In my best BT impression, "Gee they could have used the Bont the tonight." Take a bow James Harmes, finally back to being the tagger he is meant to be!
  15. Tex Walker is a [censored], and not because he kicked that goal. He snipes off the ball, dump tackles oliver's head into the ground, whinges to the umps constantly. I wish Steve would have given him the buddy treatment and put him in his place.
  16. Umpires would be proud getting their team over the line. That missed holding the ball call and missed deliberate were disgraceful.
  17. Absolutely beautiful, a complete work of art! (The jumper isn't bad either)
  18. Would have liked to see one more week of brown and weid just to give them a fair go at it (and as an aside to that, would have been good to give jacko another week of healing). Chandler deserved another go at it as well, give him some confidence and let him get used to afl pace.
  19. Well done spargs, his pressure, tackling and efforts when the ball was in dispute were immense. such an underrated player. Steve absolutely towelled up Mckay, such an absolute defensive beast. Go Dees!!
  20. enter.... Mitch Brown ? jks, time for big choof!!
  21. To give him some credit, Petty did look better than he did in the hawthorn game, competed strongly and only got caught out once from memory. Maybe the backline just made him look better but I still think he did a good job.
  22. In Steveโ€™s right pocket, his phone, in his left, his keys, wallet and buddy. Onya Steve!!!
