  1. WTF, We are in from $3 into $2.60 in the past few hours. Either the tiges have someone decent as a late out that insiders know about or there are people who hate their money and wish to donate to betting agencies, instead of buying Anzac badges! I'm hoping Richmond backed us to win for their end of season footy trip!
  2. still butchered a few kicks especially in the first half, but showed an ability to read the ball and the courage to get across and mark under pressure. Surprised me, against Port I thought Tom Gillies was back in number 34!! Good gutsy effort, hope that becomes his norm!
  3. Still zoned but were able to transition across a lot better to effectively become more like a man on man scenario. The first half they still just ran in waves with no accountability. They worked hard. Not a brilliant display, plenty of errors, but willed themselves over the line. hope it builds belief to go on from here.
  4. Hore's debut was the least promising I've seen, from another club recruit since Tom Gillies in rd 1 2013. Hope he is better 2nd time around. I'd more faith in Petty (I'll forgive his shocker debut as he is young and has upside) or Spargo!
  5. Have to say, it's pretty close! Even Charlie being out! Weird, but accurate!
  6. This time last year, Buckley was about to get fired with Collingwood 0-2 in 16th spot and instead grew a beard in readiness for his impending life as a hermit! Now he is coaching the side seemingly most likely to win a flag and keeps the beard as his lucky charm! Lets just wait and keep the shrinks office free for at least a little while longer. Maybe Goody should grow a beard?
  7. I know its not footy related, but anyone who grew up in the late 70's early eighties loved roo. A sad day with his passing. https://thenewdaily.com.au/sport/cricket/2019/03/27/australian-test-spinner-bruce-yardley-dies/
  8. To be honest his limp looked like a corkie and struggling to bend his knee properly. That also may explain why he didn't get involved as much physically as another knock could have exacerbated the injury. Sometimes corkies free up when running, other times they move and get worse, he may have guessed or felt at training it had freed up, but game day, it did the opposite. While he may still very well have feet issues, he looked like someone with a bad corkie to me. Have had and seen plenty of blokes with bad corkies in my playing days and his restricted movement looked upper leg. The comparison of his movement would be to Dusty in the Prelim last year when he had the corkie v pies.
  9. Pretty much agree with everything there. I'd give Hibberd a little leeway as there were quite a few times he busted his backside to run to space or follow up when no one else was working. I think the fact he'd run so hard to create an option, meant he was spent by the time he received it and consequently butchered it. I think he'll come good this year with a bit more match fitness. He played injured most of last year I think some have forgotten.
  10. Can't wait to see how badly wrong I got this!! No margins were put in hence the percentages are all the same.
  11. Sporting Globe in Richmond sponsor the club and do a decent Chicken Wing and bevy of beers, only issue is it's a 5-10 minute tram to the ground thereafter. Duke of Wellington (who used to sponsor us) is also pretty decent and a nice stroll across from Flinders street.
  12. Journo's today try to pour scorn and blame on everyone and anyone when things hit the fan, yet they sift through peoples garbage bins to try and find fault to report on whether meaningful or not, without thought or consequence to the well being and reputation of people involved, which probably is half the reason some of these blokes go off the rails! I was thinking Jerk Niall, but yeah he is also a joke, like 95% of the football media flogs.
  13. Best part was Todd Viney taking the [censored] with his hug at end.
  14. Matt Burgan's departure from the club has been noticeable in the lack of articles and the reduced quality of articles coming from the club this preseason. I think his departure has probably hurt the club's PR a bit more than they realise.
  15. Agree, having worked extremely closely with Police, Ambo's and even firey's here in my job, they all say the same as your experience, Meth is one hit and your hooked. The danger they become too all around means legalising it would be asking for trouble. As you stated the issue even with Cannabis is the drug syndicates now lace it with meth to get the full addiction so they come back for more. Legalising dope may mean a cleaner dose as you mentioned when manufactured through regulated organisations, but will it stop the progression to the illegal laced doses? Most addicts start at alcohol, then try dope and just keep looking for the bigger high trying new drugs to get a bigger high again. I agree that is not all, but even dope is to a large extent a gateway drug in my view and that is a risk of it being legalised. The Meth hook is also why the scum bag dealers hang around footy clubs especially in regional areas, give them a free hit and have a customer for life!
  16. It was the last round of 95 on a Friday night and the winner made the finals. The stand was being re-built hence stuff all in the background. Despite Smith's mark we lost and Brisbane's first finals appearance occurred a week later! We finished 9th after capitulating late in the year culminating with that loss, pretty much like 2017!!
  17. He was the "shooter" who pretended to shoot clay targets every time he kicked a goal. Pretty good player, bit of a [censored]!
  18. I was at the Depot in Richmond on a Thursday night in 2002 and ran into Godfrey with his mates. I asked if he was playing on the weekend and I think he freaked he'd been recognised out on the town before a game as there was pretty much no one else there. He proceeded to shout a few drinks for my mate and I. Awesome bloke, haha. BTW, yes he was playing on the Sunday!!! Different times I guess. I wasn't in the greatest shape to work the next day or play on the Saturday myself after the session from memory!
  19. Can we simply change Corey for Josh? think they'd find out if we crossed out Josh on the forms and wrote Corey above it in Crayon? Unbelievable that Corey Wagner got delisted by North and yet Josh seems impossible to rid from our list!
  20. He is an ok player in a good side. Geelong have slid from good to mediocre and an soft outside running player with ok. not elite skills will fall away quickly, which he did this year. Hopefully we are a good side and therefore he may be worth a depth position? Tipping he'd prefer to be on AVB side so he doesn't get crunched by him again too!
  21. Think you may find, the GC have ample picks this year at the top of the order and are looking to try and bank picks for next year when they will have the start of a number of elite academy players start to come through. While they May still want Pick 5 for May (lots of May's), they will then look to either turn this into picks next year or look for a group of Future picks instead of taking pick 5 into next years draft to lift the points they have available for academy players. How they do that remains to be seen, but one thing I can guarantee is they want picks next year! Apparently their Academy squad at junior levels is pretty darn good, coming from far more informed sources than I on the subject of scouting and recruiting.
  22. The whole Jesse Hogan waiting thing and the Cheese grater reminds me of this quote: Ford Fairlane: Conversation with Zuzu Petals was like masturbating with a cheese grater: slightly amusing at first, but mostly painful.
  23. On this wensleyday it would be gouda if we heard what Jesse intends to do, but if he isn't traded next year he'll be a restricted Brie agent. If he does stay I'm tipping some will get a blue vein with their stilton!
  24. Hi end Cheeseboard perfect for both hard and soft cheeses!
  25. Haha, Cheers mate have a good one!!
