CHANGES: Rd 02 vs St. Kilda
Further to your comment Werridee, I notice Vanders has been singled out as one of our best players in the last 2 VFL practice games - so I would imagine he is busting down the door to be selected.

Do you think he will be ready come finals time? It would be good to have both he and Weid ready by then.

Why we beat St.Kilda
I thought they finished pretty well in the last quarter, when it mattered the most.

Round 1 Crowd
Anyone who questions my loyalty to the MFC because I didn't attend the match yesterday - and in 15 posts states that this was a "disgusting performance", that I was "pathetic", "disgraceful", an "embarrassment" to the Club, full of "pissweak excuses", and that I should "take my head out of my [censored]" - needs to get down off his high horse, take a few chill pills and perhaps consider why so many members did not turn up. The 20K members who didn't attend the game certainly do not deserve to be labelled in such an appalling manner no matter what our reason for non attendance may have been. Giving us labels and name calling will not get us back to the G. Addressing the reasons for the non attendance certainly will.

Hey Big Sauce, looking at your avatar, you and BBO didn't happen to go to the same make up school did you?

Round 1 Crowd
Think the lack of crowd numbers simply reflect our performances over the last 2 seasons. The players need to earn our respect back. We love you but we don't trust you. We want to believe, but you keep letting us down again and again and again. So we will pay our memberships, but until we see some improvement, other options spring to mind instead of heading to the G. I'm sure COVID will be used as the excuse, but it hasn't stopped large COVID crowds the previous 2 evenings.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Spotlight now on Yze and Choco to earn their keep and fix the clearance work and our field and goal kicking. Goody breathes a sigh of relief.

Casey Demons vs Northern Bullants
Sadly no Old Dee, I am currently drowning in Sydney - and so jealous of those attending the G on such a glorious Melbourne day. My info has been plagiarized from the Casey Demons Twitter feed (and i don't even have a Twitter account!)

The No T$ No B$ Thread
I do not know the (somewhat strange) references to and history of bananas on this site, but I've just come across this (for me at least) interesting fact about bananas: Bananas are both a fruit and not a fruit. While the banana plant is colloquially called a banana tree, it's actually an herb distantly related to ginger, since the plant has a succulent tree stem, instead of a wood one. The yellow thing you peel and eat is, in fact, a fruit because it contains the seeds of the plant.

What they're saying down at Cockburn Central
Because of that statement, BDA, you may have now sentenced us to lose against Freo. How could you have been so thoughtless?

Medical Sub
I have a concern that we have a 23rd player every week missing a game of football - unless there is a concussion. Would an alternative be that if someone is outed with concussion, that the affected team is simply allowed to increase interchanges for the remainder of the match as compensation?

2021 Injury List
Can someone please inform me of when Joel Smith did his finger? Was he playing last Monday and dislocated it, or did he do it at some other training session? Not sure where or when I read it, but i think they said he would be out for three weeks. If he did it last Monday, then I think "test" would be the wrong description for him in the above table.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Following the very poor showing yesterday, I'd like to send TMac, Spargo, Baker, AVB, Harmes, Tomlinson, Jetta, Jones, Jordon, Sparrow and Bedford back to the VFL next weekend to try and earn themselves a spot for Round 1. Chock certainly has his hands full improving the skills of this lot. However, given that it is likely that all of Viney, BB, Weid, Hibberd and Melksham will be out for Round 1, some of the above will get call ups, but hopefully only based on performance. My team would be: Rivers May Lever Hunt Petty Salem Langdon Petracca Tomlinson Pickett MBrown Fritsch Chandler TMac Jackson Gawn Brayshaw Oliver INT: ANB Jones Bowey Harmes. To me, Petty has to come in, and therefore, until we have a better option (which I don't think will be any time this year) I'd move Tomlinson onto the wing - its what we bought him for and he is the model we based getting Rosman on. Given the lack of form of our injury free key forwards, I think we need to entrust Mitch Brown to the CHF role for now, and put TMac back to FF where I think he played his best footy back in 2018. That should also free up Jackson from having the best defenders on him (at least initially). When it came to picking the interchange players, I found I couldn't find one player that would make the best 22 in virtually any other AFL team. I may have forgotten someone but the lack of depth really concerns me. When we get back our injured players, these guys will struggle to make the bench IMO, unless they dramatically improve their skills and their form. That's a bit harsh on Bowey, who I think will become a player. he certainly has the disposal skills we so desperately need.

Melbourne midfielders have to park egos
Trying to make sense of all of the above, and particularly Max's comments, please let me know if i have this wrong: If we zip the lips Park the ego trips, Listen to our leadership, Then at our fingertips Are multiple premierships.
