  1. If Salem players the whole year in the middle, heโ€™ll go close to winning the Brownlow!
  2. Iโ€™ve recently praised ANB for the way he has improved his skills and, as a result, the great season he had last year. When ANB is pressuring a player, he is great, however, when ANB is under pressure, too often he fumbles or gives a poor disposal and the forward flow is haltered or we turnover the ball as a result. This happens too often to just be an occasional occurrence, and as such, until he can consistently improve this area of his play he will continue to not receive the recognition he should by the demon faithful.
  3. Haha You are not spreading unsubstantiated rumours are you Andy?
  4. Haha - The name puttanesca is derived from the Italian word for โ€œprostitute,โ€ puttana. The dish was originally created as a quick and easy meal for the working women of Naples,
  5. Iโ€™m sure he canโ€™t be bothered giving you any.
  6. I'm sure someone could do this a lot better than me but: "Gus, MAY your NARateD future read as accomplIShed And as aCcoUNTable as your playing career.
  7. Problem is 3183, it will be at least 18 years before we get our hands on him! (sorry Binny, didnโ€™t see your post.)
  8. Are you left handed Timothy? Haha Might explain a lot
  9. There would be very, very few posters on here that are not passionate Deeโ€™s supporters. Surely thatโ€™s unification. However all of us have different opinions at times, and certainly different ways of expressing ourselves, which is to be expected, and it is what I enjoy about this site. This does not reflect disunity. As long as the banter is respectful (which at times it isnโ€™t) then go for it I say.
  10. Nas, do you think he might be a "whipping boy" because all the others you mentioned - except Windsor - have proven themselves at AFL level, whereas Laurie, after 3 full seasons with the club - and a first round pick to boot - simply hasn't?
  11. I tend to agree Chook, but just wish we had better skills to go with, and take proper advantage of that instinct.
  12. @binman: "Some take aways: I suspect they are in a heavy training phase. Cooked after the first 20 min untill half time. First 15 mins of third up and about after a break. Then cooked again" haha have you started to raise "loading" again already Binny? We haven't even reached Round Zero yet!
  13. The conclusion being that we cannot afford to [censored] up the initial fast forward entry, so it doesn't come back out just as quickly. Better skills and forward craft needed.
  14. You do know Gus didnโ€™t play donโ€™t you? Still, I didnโ€™t see him get one possession.
  15. I donโ€™t think the score line matters (except the โ€œapprenticeโ€ would be within his rights to gloat a bit to the โ€œMasterโ€). What does matter if anyone here was able to pick out how we overcame the issues we had last year - which any good coach would be aiming to fix, surely. Forward entry / connection? - anyone notice any changes or improvements? Ball handling and kicking skills? - improvement? Center connection and clearances? - again, improvements? I didnโ€™t see all of the match, but from what I did see, I couldnโ€™t recognise any real improvements or system changes at all. So please convince me we did! Otherwise, given the way I saw the tigers play, I might wish that we had hung onto the โ€œapprenticeโ€ - who, given time, might well become the โ€œMasterโ€.
  16. FFS, perhaps we should have also gotten rid of Gawn after his third knee op. His body was obviously not up to it either.
  17. Maybe it's more than just fitness that might keep Clarry away from the ones.
  18. It would be nice if the Club would!
  19. I was hoping Hore would fill Hibberd's role.
  20. Finally, only one more sleep.....
  21. Thanks for turning up and reporting @WERRIDEE and @Jontee and @kev martin. Much appreciated.
