  1. Try the channel 9 suite.
  2. Thank you to the Sydney Demons Supporters' Group, MFC and The Pres for this meet and greet opportunity. Great initiative for us "mexicans" (as ex Victorians are known up here) and hope it can become a regular event. Also looking forward to attending Round 24 when we take on the Swans up here., which is likely to be a big sendoff game for Buddy.
  3. I appreciate your comment about ANB, LDVC. As someone who lives interstate - and for that reason is rarely able to get to games - my assessment of running players like ANB is obviously clouded by what i can physically see on the TV. What i rarely get shown are his running efforts. This is unfortunate, because the running efforts of someone like Langdon are often highlighted. So, whether you get to the game or not, you understand and get to appreciate what Langdon does for the team. One explanation for this maybe that Langdon is usually very clean in his ball handling, so when he is involved, usually good things happen, and thus they are highlighted. On the other hand, when ANB is involved, he is rarely clean and assured in his ball handling - often resulting in stoppages or turnovers - so his running efforts are not highlighted. Thus, he doesn't often get the credit he deserves. ANB is an A-grade runner, an A-grade tackler, and a first-rate team player - no questions. But because his ball handling skills are not anywhere near the same level as his other attributes - and as this is what generally gets shown/highlighted on TV - it's no wonder posters can be critical of him.
  4. It won’t be long before his nickname will be “Silk”.
  5. I think they should forfeit DJ. and we take the 4 points. Hate to think what our guys might catch if the pies play.
  6. Interesting that no one is dominant post the bye. Wonder what the reason for that is?
  7. Anyone else silly enough to have watched the cricket through to stumps this morning? I’m paying for it now, but what a joy to see us pound that Indian attack. Travis Head was superb. Steve Smith was Steve Smith. Hoping for another similar day tonight / tomorrow where we bat them out of this test.
  8. I think it’s more simple than that Binny. And I think it all stems from confidence. A great pre-season, coaches paying you more attention and having them trust what you can offer, and suddenly, bang, Judd feels so much more confident in his own abilities. He now feels confident he belongs, and those innate skills that you mention are suddenly able to be let loose.
  9. Hibberd for Bowey Oliver for ANB - done very little the last few weeks, and definitely needs to keep working on this skills.
  10. How about each of us visit Wheelo’s website, and regularly. He deserves some recognition (clicks) for what he has provided us to date.
  11. I disagree. If the backs are taller then what do you need to do? You don’t bomb it in that’s for sure. Our forwards need to lead and the passes need to be low. Simple.
  12. Can Tomo please play in front!
  13. And who do we play next? Bet Cerra is the only one to get off.
  14. Haha Keep playing the way we currently are and we could end up challenging for the number 1 draft pick after all.
  15. This thread, more than any other, makes me smile. And after a [censored] weekend that’s a great thing. I’ll go to sleep happy tonight (just as long as I don’t read any other threads).
  16. Trust in this team? you have got to be joking.
  17. Perhaps we need to get used to the fact that that is as good as we get this year.
  18. Somehow I’ve attracted a horrible flu bug into my system. Razor blades in the throat, body aches like I’ve gone 15 rounds with the heavyweight champ, and a nose that resembles the beer tap at a crowed pub - it never stops flowing. So, if my comments today offend anyone, I’m sorry. If for some reason I criticise WCW, or worse, praise her, again I’m sorry. It’s the drugs.
  19. Bub, if the umpires did their job properly, every hit to the back of the head ( which is supposed to be sacrosanct) should earn Max a free kick - and it would soon stop. But I do agree that standing up to a bully once is generally all that is needed.
  20. I think booing Jacko will only spur him on. I don’t want to give him any advantage over us.
  21. I applaud your positivity Binman, and your condemnation of the collective football media. While there is nothing (thankfully) that you can do about your positivity, if you didn’t watch these afl review programs, the media will not be able to “[censored] you to death” as you state - simples. But just a couple of points on your post: - I think you’ll find that in 2016, the Dogs were 7/3, rather than 6/4; 2019, Tiges were 7/3, not 6/4; and 2020, Tiges were 6/3/1, not 5/4/1. - So in fact only 3 teams in 10 years, not 7 as you suggested, won the premiership from a 6/4 or worse position ( which I assume is what you are calling “not much better than 50/50”). So I’d proffer that, statistically, you are in a much better position of winning the premiership if you had only lost a max of 3 games after 10 rounds. And fortunately that’s where we are at the moment. - if the afl media is questioning the Dees as a contender, so what? They probably have a right to given our record of 4/3 against, as Kingy puts it, the “real teams”. That aside, I would much rather fly under the radar than be a Pies-like headline. In the end, if we are good enough, we are good enough, if we are not, we are not. Not a lot of point getting our nickers in a knot about a [censored] media who are only doing their [censored] job. So chill, and enjoy the season on your terms.
  22. Er, we’ve been talking draft picks ( Freo’s) since the start of the year!
