  1. Positive signs, Jones & TMc look slow and struggling.
  2. 9th on the list!!
  3. Agree on the in row, but TMac, Jones and AVB our for me. TMac played okay but straight swap for Max. Jones fair, bit looking slow and getting caught to often. AVB disposal poor. Lockhart into backline and would have Harmes tag Sbum! Viney 50:50 or 60/40 between middle and forward pocket.
  4. When only the two leading goal kickers in The Coleman are just averaging over 2 goals what are people expectations of other forwards. Seems like many on Demonland expect our forwards to all contribute 2 goals most weeks!
  5. While it was great to win well tonight and worth celebrating as it was North, beat the Pies next week and weโ€™re on our way. Trac, Oliver, & Brayshaw great out of the middle, I would have Viney in forward pocket, 50% of game time! Pickett one pocket, Viney the other!
  6. Burgoyne a star Hawk should have gone twice, ANB a no name Demon an example, itโ€™s that simple & WRONG. Hawkins elbow just lucky didnโ€™t take out opponents head!
  7. Take all of the points in the thread: - Harmes excelled in 2018 as tagger - so rather than use him on Boak, leave him hanging and losing confidence - bring in untried 3rd gamer, Sparrow - play him on oppositions star midfielder, Boak BOG - when St Kilda successfully locked Boak down in preceding round - hard to believe, seems like terrible selection! Coaching team would have to review and go that was a shocker didnโ€™t work, put Harmes back as tagger or he has to be dropped. - Sparrow, in middle ahead of Trac, Viney, Oliver, Brayshaw, Harmes, and would give another 5 guys a run in there ahead of him, seems a weird move.
  8. Great idea for review, perhaps not best done after the years worst performance, as Thursday night I donโ€™t think I would have picked more than 2-3 players!! Backline - no backline would have held up against how easily the ball was brought in on Thursday. Back six: Definite: May, Lever, Hibberd, Salem Structural: OMac (Thursday night aside, backline is definitely more settled and structured when he plays) Developing: Lockhart, Rivers, Smith At moment Iโ€™d stick with Lockhart Middle: Wing: Langdon Not sure about other side maybe VDB for aggression Tagger: Harmes just put him on oppositions best mid, he had a great season doing this, let him play the role. When guy he is tagging goes off ground so does Harmes Centre/Rover: Petracca/Oliver/Viney/Brayshaw with each of Petracca/Oliver/Viney/Brayshaw rotating in Forward Pocket/Flank Ruck: Max supported by Jackson Forwards Weideman just give him the rest of the season at FF Jackson Plays rest of season / 2-3 game breaks replaced by TMac role of Forward/Ruck Melksham / Bennell highly skilled Petracca/Oliver/ Viney/ Brayshaw share forward role Pickett rest of season, this week off and two other rest breaks Spargo to backup Bench: Rivers, Brayshaw, Smith, possibly Tomlinson
  9. Trade Goodwin for Clarkson
  10. Shocking coaching move! Use bloody Harmes as the tagger, he is struggling in the backline! Put Brayshaw in the middle at least 50% of the time, heโ€™s not a wingman!!
  11. Agree. But a few have to go: Jones - too slow Harmes - out of form Hannan - when he is bad, he is awful Pickett - not ready In: Rivers Bennell VDB poor skills but at least gives 100% aggression ANB Dropping 5 or more rarely works! TMac on borderline
  12. Wagner while quite physical and capable of getting the ball is a poor decision maker!
  13. Cameron kicked 2.2 out of 7.10 and as much as I like Jetta he struggled. Perhaps it was due to nearly knocking himself out 3 times!
  14. Maybe 2-3 changes Out Jetta, Bennell rest In T Mac Rivers Fritsch & Brayshaw on the edge A few others didnโ€™t play to well, but wholesale changes after a four point loss wonโ€™t happen!
  15. According to commentators Brisbane are just wonderful! Demons make a few minor improvements and we'll be better! A disappointing final result, but the Demons still have significant upside as half the team were poor tonight, so donโ€™t write us off yet!
  16. I think Jetta may have concussed himself tonight, burrowing in head first. To brave for his own good. His kick out that led to C Cameron goal also hurt us! Should be given a couple of weeks off!
  17. Our poor kicking for goal cost us the game. Viney, Petracca & Oliver led the way other than 2nd quarter when they were quiet, a number of players had very ordinary nights, so to get within four points shows weโ€™re close. As mentioned in a prior post we need to win a close one against one of the better teams, then we will be in business. We still have four of the bottom five teams to play, and at least with one favour from the draw play North in Qsld rather than Tassie! The umpiring doesnโ€™t help, they need 15 metre across on the ground so the umpires can see that 20 Brisbane passes didnโ€™t travel the required distance. Only on team seemed to get pinged for holding the ball! Brisbane didnโ€™t return the ball all night and also kicked the ball away a few times after the whistle for a free was blown!
  18. Yep missed at least 6 gettable goals, and two definitely should have been goals, kicking ourselves out of it!!
  19. Yep, Brisbane ruck Definitely holding ball not paid!
  20. Iโ€™m a half glass full person, but I hope youโ€™re right, and your glass is overflowing on Sunday afternoon!
  21. Jones skills, loyalty and many years of leading the way, deserves an opportunity. Hopefully we will see him chase opposition players, as his running has been poor the last few years, admittedly injury would have impacted him at times. Critical that all of our team commit to running and pressuring the Lions, as happened last week against the Hawks.
