GC came to play, but we were generally poor with flashes of brilliance, such as the Trac, Kozzie and Chandler goals. Defence was yuck, and it is so confusing that we got smashed again in the middle. Oliver and Frittata worst games for a long time. Very lucky in the end. We take the points, but we have a lot of work to do.

I know scores are level but I just can’t see us winning. We’re not changing anything and all our goals have been grinds. They find smooth passage every time with quick replies. Our midfield has been poor, backline a complete mess and forward entries a joke. I hope I’m wrong but this looks like it’s inching towards a win for GC UNLESS WE PULL OUR FINGERS OUT

And again, we grind for a goal and they cruise to one. We’re going to find it tough if we fall behind. i know some people have said the suns will fade but I’m not seeing it and I’m not seeing our guys play tough enough or smart enough to capitalise.

Slender lead, poor half. We look unfocused, giving them too much room. They’re taking marks at will in our backline. May has been horrid. Please put Petty back. I’m loathe to say this already but the reality is that we’re not there yet, not even close. Like last year our wins have come against low ranking teams or ones who have not yet found their stride. Our wins are v 10, 11, 14, 16 and 18. Losses against top 8 teams. We need to make big improvements. If we sneak a win out of this I’ll be very happy but we need to address stuff like what the hell happened to our backline, where is May? Why do we disappear so often? Needless to say we need a big statement setting second half.

Why do we look so disorganised out back? How are they taking so many marks out there? Leaked 46 points to the GC in a half, so far. Not great.
