  1. At this rate we'll smoke them by 40. (Seriously though, loving this, they've stolen so many games from us like this, it would be great to return the favour).
  2. We probably won't win, but we're only 6 goals down. We're definitely capable, and some of the boys really need to stamp their name on a finals spot because some of our outs could have been handy tonight, especially Melksham. Yeah he doesn't get a lot of love, doesn't generate a lot of stats, but you know that he also doesn't do? Bomb balls into the 50! Anyway, the Cats have stolen enough games from us over the years, I won't lie, it would be very sweet to steal this (but if I have to choose I'd rather beat them in the finals, to knock them out, again). Go Dees!
  3. Other than the last 10 minutes or so, we weren't THAT bad. I've seen worse this year. I don't mind losing, but form is important and we don't want the boys being belted before the finals. I think we'll bounce back. Addendum: I hate Hawkins' face so much.
  4. Agree, Viney will return this week, which means one has to go - and it's got to be Sparrow. Sparrow has shown some talent, but Jordon stays due to cohesion of the team, his body of work over the year and he's safer with the ball.
  5. Wouldn't it be just the most Melbourne thing ever to steam into the finals, and finally win a premiership - only for the game to be played interstate, and us (in Vic at least) not being able to see it in person because of lockdown? Is this the curse changing form? Success but we can't feel it? (the inhale, exhale of a packed MCG is unrivalled). (Obviously I'll take a premiership no matter what haha).
  6. TOP OF THE LADDER, BABY! Field day for Fritter. Great to see better conversion from our forwards. It's a funny reversal of the last game we played against these guys. It's hilarious that our accuracy kept us in this one at the start. We're coming for the minor premiership!
  7. I like it how our accuracy has kept us in this today haha - kind of fitting. I'm nervous as hell, my heart can't take this.
  8. That's fair, I thought it started pretty ordinary, then got good, then ended terribly haha (gifted goal to Kennedy to kick-start them after the break), although I will say that Petty got away with murder at the end haha.
  9. Everything is in our hands now. If we beat the Crows, the game against the Cats will be a play off for the minor premiership. I wouldn't mind losing that to be honest, as it's very possible we'll play them again in the first week of the finals. I'd love to leave something up our sleeve for them when it counts. In saying that, I also don't mind belting them, then belting them again.
  10. As much as I'd love to belt the Crows, and we really should, because it's the right thing to do, I'll take an honest win that doesn't cost us any injuries. It also means we stay on top and the game against the Cats is for the minor premiership!
  11. Super impressed with a lot of things (shows dare, backs himself, thinks about what he's going to do etc), but above all his composure under serious pressure is really something. Very excited for Bowey's future!
  12. We were mucked about the week before, diverted flights, then quarantine, and a lightning delay with some suss AF umpiring... ...Didn't matter! TOP OF THE LADDER, BABY! (Great game Nibbler!)
  13. It won't happen, I know, but wouldn't it just be an almost fitting end to this game/year for then to run over us now.. Nah won't happen, Dees by 50 Just hoping no injuries!
  14. I thought seeing Eddie's face less would make me dislike him less, but he really just does have that kind of face, I guess. And that's without the mind numbing chatter.
