Another thing that surprises me is opposition supporters don't seem to rate Oliver. There's always talk of Gawn and Petracca, and to a lesser extent Brayshaw and Viney. Any theories?

Looks like Port are going to try the Brisbane model of getting flogged in the ruck and trying to shark Max's taps. Only one ruckman and he's very inexperienced (Ladhams), with backup from Westhoff. Hopefully we learned a thing or two last week and can take full advantage of the ruck dominance. It will go a long way towards us winning this game and winning it well.

Unrealistic attempt, despite not actually touching an opposition player AND getting a hand on the ball. I was filthy about that decision.

You'd think they'd fly straight from Adelaide on the Thursday and try and get a main session in at Blundstone before the game on Sunday wouldn't they? Yes it isn't ideal for preparation but it really isn't a long way from either Brisbane or Adelaide. Comparable to the bus ride from the Sunny Coast to the Gold Coast. It will be interesting to see what the Premier says regarding the border restrictions, it wouldn't surprise me if he said no. He's been pretty strict since the outbreak on the North-West Coast.

The way some people carry on about the Tassie game you'd think it was a long haul flight to get down here. It's under an hour from Melbourne, the bus trip to Geelong is longer. You can fly direct from Adelaide and Brisbane, Brisbane being the longer flight at 2.5 hours. Our form down here isn't too bad. We will [censored] North. Having said that I have no idea why they made it a night match in August! I went to a night match at Blundstone arena Richmond vs North a few years back and my eyeballs nearly froze.

Hawks beat lions by 28 in round 1, we beat Hawks by 43 in round. So we should win this one by 71? Looking forward to this, good chance to see if we have turned a corner and can match it with one of the premiership favourites, or if we just beat up on bad sides. No change.

Big call from Crawf but right now on form he's clearly gone past Dusty, but now needs to do it consistently for years to get to that Dusty/Danger/Fyfe level. Hoping he can maintain it, he's very exciting to watch (and I have him at $251 for the Brownlow).
