Salem's ability to get receive the ball under pressure, know what he wants to do before he gets it and execute a quick kick lace out to one of his teammates would have to be the best in the AFL I reckon. Bloke is a magician.

9 tackles for a small forward is outrageous. Kossie is back.

I had to re-stock on spakfilla last Saturday after an errant boot collected an errant water bottle and put a dent in an errant wall. Hoping I don't need to dig it out of the garage again tonight. For me the drop in pressure has been a bigger issue than our forward line. That same forward line seemed to be ok at the start of the year. Hopefully it is a bit of a lapse and will return in the run home, and not something more serious.

Apologies if it has already been said but I do feel for Collingwood having to play their grand final at the SCG this year.

Not sure, confidence maybe? Hopefully? But I hope he starts clunking them. If he had have marked every ball he got his hands to on Friday we'd be talking about what a great game he had. I'm still holding out hope he has a huge game soon which gets his confidence up to start consistently impacting games.

The most that Daylight has ever deserved the 5 votes. As good as an individual performance you'd be lucky enough to see by young Clayton. Phenomenal.

Umps got it wrong - need a please explain
BigFez replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah forgot about that one, but I was about 10 pints deep to be fair. The Crows one at the death was at least one million times more deliberate than both of our calls. -

I'd love to see a side by side of Lever's deliberate in the second quarter and that one. Can't blame the umps for the loss but that's as bad a decision as you'll see. Credit to the Crows, they just wouldn't go away. -
Can't win them all. Shows the importance of a home final though. Need to keep winning.

I read Ron Jeremy's autobiography once, I'm not sure why, I think a friend gave it to me. In it he mentions how often people would ask him how big it was. One of his favourite responses was "you get yours out and I'll get just enough of mine out to beat you". I feel like we are coasting along like that over the last three weeks, just seeing what the opposition has and doing just enough to beat them. Really hoping the game against the dogs we get to see the whole package. Dubious analogy sorry!

Sums up my own feelings perfectly.

I read somewhere that Carlton are the only team not to have lost by more than 5 goals since the start of 2020, plus they were all over the dogs for 3/4. Their best is good but hopefully they can't sustain it and we run over them in the last like we did to the Hawks.

One thing that continues to surprise me in opposition threads is how many opposition supporters don't rate Oliver as a player. The kid is a jet! There are plenty who do rate him but surely it has to be unanimous to anyone that's ever seen him play. I'm not sure what to put it down to.

If I had an MFC player taking a set shot for my life, I'd pick Melksham.

According to Gerard Healy, Kozzie is the no. 1 , and the no. 2 and no. 3 small forwards have the same name - Daylight!

That happened right in front of me. I think the only person within a 50m radius who didn't know the North fella was going to sell some candy was poor old Gus. Hook, line and sinker.

When you next get cold and flu like symptoms remember to go to as many shops, bars, cafes, parks etc as you possibly can, particularly while you are most infectious.

Would have a bot to do with ladder position so far this year I suppose. But only 7 rounds in, the losses against us for the teams who've played us will go some way to explaining their lower than normal ladder position. Freo would be knocking on the door of the top four if they'd beaten us. Saints and GWS would be top 8 if they'd beaten us, cats and Tigers would be top 4 if they'd beaten us. I'm taking this with a huge grain of salt..

Only played on there 10 times for 21 goals.

I have no idea what they'll do re. Tomlinson. I've been firmly in the keep TMac forward camp, but I do remember he was in All Australian conversations as a defender once upon a time, so he can definitely defend. The knock on him was his decision making and disposal coming out of the backline. Now we have May, and Salem is in career best form as the distributor, the Tomlinson role could suit him to a tee. Allows us to get Wedeman in, just means Petty would be stiff. And can Wied play the TMac role as good as TMac? Not sure about that until we see it. Think we have been better with Brayshaw on the wing, as much as I'd like him to be back in the guts. He has grown into the role and is important structurally. I think bringing Sparrow in, pushing Brayshaw back to the wing and leaving Baker out is the best option to cover Viney. The other option of TMac to the wing, Weideman forward, Brayshaw to stay in the guts, Petty in for Tommo and Baker out, might also be worth a look. Hopefully Brown is better for the run, I was watching him closely off the ball on Sunday and he could not get a millimetre of separation on his opponent. Some of our clean centre clearances and quick rebounds were a full forward's dream, but he really struggled to get a step on McKay. Hopefully just rusty. I shall watch on with interest.

Agree, it was just a surprise to me that they are coming up against a side 7-0 and were very confident of a win. I guess being a Demon supporter and spending a bit of time on this forum, that sort of confidence was very alien to me.

I saw Praha's comment just after I posted mine and did have a chuckle. They barely discuss the opposition and give good analysis of their own side but there is not one single mention of the possibility of losing this one, the only posters who mention the outcome have them winning. I'd love to have their confidence.

You reckon Richmond supporters are over confident you should visit the Swans board.
