I think it might be happening quietly in the background DubDee. Especially with the Powa involved, WA will have no representation with the Eagles on their last legs and out of the 8. I reckon WA and its Premier really doesn't give a toss if they don't host it. They really couldn't give a rats over there with their (Ring of Steel) Optus holds 60,000, Adelaide holds 54000 so its not really a massive difference. In my humble opinion and our formline interstate over the past 5 years, if we are to forced to play any of our finals in a state other than Vic (MCG) it has to be played at the Adelaide Oval. We have a good record at the Oval, the players enjoy the ground, vibe, atmosphere and memories it has provided them but key its a short trip home to recuperate/ train back in Vic until the Prelim. Of course this would only be the case if we weren't playing against Port in either of the finals matches we participate in. After that i have no idea which way the club would swim. We don't want to be going all the way to Perth beforehand only for the GF. (if required)

Has to be after the prelim Bingers, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to have a break before the prelim. There is a multitude of reasons to have it after the prelim with concussion to a player and the recovery being one of the most important by far.

I've mentioned it before in one of the threads that there we're two scribes from the R3 win over GWS that said that we can win the flag, Joey Montagna and Matt Rendell. Matt Rendell went a bit shakey on the Dees before the Port game and tipped Port but then straightened back up. Joey has stuck fat and backed us in from that R3 moment. If there was any other scribe backing us in please let me know.
