  1. Thought we'd get up for this one Boy, some work to do. Also, no Bruce and Carlisle and saints lose that game.
  2. We had a really good stab at it, a lot of things worked for us. An encouraging performance, but ultimately not there yet.
  3. Playing very well! Keep it up Dees
  4. I really hope it doesn't come to light that May did his hammy, and we persisted to play him.
  5. Fritsch BOG
  6. Just when we're getting into gear, we lose Viney & May. It's a genuine reason. A frustrating one, but genuine.
  7. Yes Fritta
  8. Whilst I'd have to review the footage - and apologies if wrong - Nathan Jones' foot skills have recently been recognised by Champion data as being well and truly above average. In a time where Oscar, JWags, Salem, Frost and Hore where in the backline, I would say he'd have been a great 6th addition. Meanwhile, conversion in the forward 50 was at one time rated a historic AFL low. I'd say that'd indicate we needed more help up forward than down back. But anyway, also respect the fact that Fritsch was needed back. But always felt the forward line was the bigger problem, and frustrated that Fritsch wasn't utilized to address that.
  9. I'm aware about the lack of personnel that prompted the move in the defense. But I'd argue that someone else should have been put back, given that our forward line was such a mess. Fritsch's foot skills didn't shine all that often back there, after all.
  10. I'm annoyed at you Goodwin. Fritsch was always a forward. Always. True potential wasted in the back line
  11. Goody has had some delusional shockers this year, but thought that was a really strong post match presser today
  12. I really don't approve of playing Gus on the wing, and Lewis in the middle, btw. I trust the coaches have their reasons. But Gus came 3rd in the brownlow in that role, whereas Lewis isn't playing next year.
  13. Thrilled with Petty's game. And yes, May has officially won me over. Showed more desperation, intent and care for the club than Hogan ever did.
  14. Tried a new outlook today, because watching the Dees - win, lose or draw - just put me a foul mood through resentment of a wasted season (and it is, it just is). A goal of having 9-10 season total wins, or even 8 and a better % - would be considered a good achievement from this point onwards, considering the huge adversity we've faced. I haven't enjoyed a Dees game like that all year tbh. Was good to ride that rollercoaster, despite the loss. I even didn't hate the way we played. We lost? Ah well, the season is [censored] anyway. It's all about what we can achieve from now, not about what we lose.
  15. I think 6 points down is a great result tbh. Dogs spent a lot of tickets that quarter for next to no reward. Come on, we got this
  16. Love to hear this - especially after his effort late in the Carlton game (granted, he would have been cooked)
  17. Happy with that quarter! Thought we played our style, which has been severely lacking this year. Also, just bloody play Gus in the middle. We don't have any decent wing players. So it may as well be someone like Lewis.
  18. Hoges couldn't do that. Well done Weid.
  19. Fritsch has gotta stay wing/forward, he had some ripper kicks inside 50 today (whilst also acknowledging some average ones).
  20. They hold Carlton at bay!
  21. Thanks for the report! I always find it captivating to hear what assistant coaches have to say, especially as one as experience as McCartney. Fantastic insight, and makes me stop guessing what they're doing behind closed doors to a degree
  22. It also annoyed the [censored] out of me when they said Grundy was the starting AA ruckman and Gawn was on the bench Goodness me A) Get your facts right, and B) WATCH THE GAME IN FRONT OF YOU!
  23. At least we were reminded of who the real #1 ruck is
  24. pretty good from Hunt there, actually sensational
  25. Yep, lost patience with Spargo, at this moment at least. Back to Casey, you'll get there mate, just keep at it
