  1. Good to get a grounding.... https://www.aflnt.com.au/sites/default/files/uploads/NT AFL Team Scoping Report.pdf
  2. What's the issue with what he sees as an injustice?
  3. How amazingly obscure. What took you there?
  4. @WheeloRatings what's your take on Carlton's ladder position vs ranking?
  5. Which Teams Are Good :Squiggle "Power Rankings measure team strength at a point in time. They ignore the fixture, home ground advantage, and all the other factors that go into predicting the outcome of a match or a season. Instead, they’re a simple answer to Rory’s question: Which teams are actually good?" ** I only rate this metric, due to where we are rated 🤷‍♂️
  6. And then Kate Roffey shouldn't be the incumbent... And then Jason Taylor should have picked Charlie Curnow... And then, why did we recruit Jake Lever when we still could have had Oscar....
  7. I went for a walk Sunday evening, with a staunch Collingwood supporter and his daughter around our local lake, she thankfully, is a passionate Melbourne supporter. For context, she is a neurodiverse (new language for autism) 10yo. One of her 'superpowers' is facts about the Melbourne football club... as we walked around the lake, she passionately responding to my questions with forensic detail. Eg: Listing of Bailey Fritsch's goals and points from Q1 to Q4 in the GF, who else wore his number in the 50's and 60's, what was the score for the match in 2019 Round 3. and on and on and on.... it's amazing stuff. We got on to her favourite players, she quite likes Sam Weideman, although she did state she couldn't understand why on earth his nickname is 'Choofa' .... Her Dad and I just glanced at each other... and I gently moved the conversation on to the pure awesomeness of Clarry.... bless her cotton socks. 😇 FWIW even my mate as a Collingwood supporter, would be reluctant to take on Sam...
  8. Too complex and nuanced for me mate. As Pauline once said …”please explain?”
  9. Interestingly I watched the Brisbane game, and I can't recall the commentator. They said - "He's a joy to watch, Lachie Neale, on his way to another brownlow" - I thought, is this stuff preordained?
  10. "We just want him to be the best he can be" 😇
  11. Does he still get ridiculed for not being able to kick over a jam tin? #spargomyths
  12. I'm not going to join the pile on of your view points... And, what's your take on Brisbane losing and thus their chances against us, as well as perhaps Freo, considering where the game is at currently.
  13. Great work with all the effort you put into this. This thread is a bit like ANB (I'll let you draw your own conclusions!) 🤩
  14. Round 10 (+13) = 905 - 134 Matches Played P Cripps = 1000 Clearances - 144 Matches Played =95 / 10 = 9.5 per match to equal.
  15. With all the pontification about a 100 point drubbing - forgetting Naarm are playing an AFL side - has anyone thrown their play station controller and rage quit yet?
  16. I think there is a specific thread for this sort of comment 😍
  17. Beauty is in the eye... Imagine having him AND Ben Brown... that would be amazing.
  18. That'll help my 6yo be awake enough to watch another GF win
  19. I love how Naarm is absolutely ubiquitous at the moment. Presenters on Fox Footy using 'Naarm Demons' instead of phrasing 'Melbourne Demons', the AFL having Naarm on its ladder, and Naarm Demons logo as a portal to our website. Does this show the cache of Melbourne/Naarm now as a force within the AFL community that all media parties have got on board? Personally, I wouldn't be adverse for the name to be maintained... Change can be hard... sometimes it can be absolutely joyous and meaningful at the same time.
  20. Do you like football AND porno?
  21. The Tyson, Clarkson, Gysberts Cup?
  22. Huh? what other things are these?
  23. Round 9 (+7) = 892 - 133 Matches Played P Cripps = 1000 Clearances - 144 Matches Played =108 / 11 = 9.81 per match to equal. drifting slightly...
  24. These stats are supplied by old mate @WheeloRatings - thanks, we're often bereft of data when trying to make sense of what we observe. Now I aint a maths boffin, so happy for some guidance or other interpretations - but this makes me quite excited that against the expected average, 9 rounds in - we are 8 shots on goal better than the average opposition. I can't quite recall the shots on goal vs point % - but I suspect it's around 50% - so 4goals 4 equates to a 28 point margin. Hello, that looks familiar - it's a 4-5 goal win...
