Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Oh, it's totally a long bow to draw... I was just letting a bunch of randoms on a forum I like, know my obscure thoughts.

I'm sure ol mate @deejammin' can defend him or her or themself (if that consideration aint to 'woke' for you). People are entitled to post their opinion, as are you. Nonetheless, 'Play the ball, not the man' .

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I've certainly had thoughts that echoed my belief around the year that James Frawley was playing forward - thus exposing another player to the back line (and our back line learning not to have James in it). I'm getting a distinct 'chip' vibe about Brayshaws move to half back.

Lumumba sues AFL and Filth
It's a good point. I'll choose my words a bit more carefully. It appears he was more evolved than the sociocultural system in place at the time. He was addressing, sexism, racism and other forms of bigotry 10 years ago in a system that was not ready for that to be addressed. Importantly, he was not being compliant (and is still not) to what he feels is acceptable for his distress to be redressed, whereas I suspect many other people would be compliant. People get paid out all the time in these situations, people sign non-disclosure agreements. That aint Heretier's style. Can you help me understand what you meant by "Can anyone imagine Bernie Vince getting up on the best and fairest night and declaring he was a prince. It simply wouldn't happen"

For those that think he should 'move on' - It's often those who say someone should move on, because a) they don't genuinely relate to why someone is choosing to pursue change, or b) they're part of the problem themselves, but just don't see it. My take is this... (and my client work is with people whereby they feel a system/organisation has never supported them when they've attempted to address cultural or OHS issues (or whatever issue it is). I always ask the question around their mental health and the choice to walk away and have immediate 'stress or anxiety' taken away to 'move on with their day to day living' - or the choice to continue to hold people/organisations to account, which will be demanding and take a toll often over many years. The impact on them and their families is always huge, always painful. When an individual chooses to continue to 'fight' against a system that is stacked against them, it's never about money. It's often about protecting others in the future who will come into that organisation. They are being clear on their values, and behaving inline with that... stepping away is incongruent with creating positive change He is clearly a principled person (whether you agree with his is another story), and actively choosing not to 'move on' is his prerogative. This is not about ego, it's about values. The energy and effort that is required by Heretier, is tremendous, compounded further that his is a minority, choosing to speak out and hold to account a system/organisation that failed him.

A simple answer is the relationship of the person to the experience and the trauma that has occurred. I think as a society, we need to move beyond having a time frame on 'dealing' with things. Recently, it took me 35 years to start to acknowledge my own trauma, that I am currently processing. And I'm a pretty well adjusted person that functions mostly well in society.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
I've got the latent Herpes inside me (see previous posts to make sense).... but in today's match I seriously felt - as per all the others this season- we seriously toy, if not, put the cue in the rack, against teams in the latter half of the match, 9. St Kilda's second half against Melbourne was the real deal Despite losing by 38 points, the Saints should be heartened by their effort against the reigning premiers. After trailing by nine goals to one, the Saints restricted the Dees to just five more goals for the game, while adding seven of their own. Against Melbourne’s much-vaunted midfield, St Kilda had more hitouts (31-25), clearances (30-29) and stoppage clearances (19-14). Melbourne was able to kick eight goals from stoppage, whereas St Kilda managed just two. And, the Saints will rue their efficiency inside 50, which was 36.4 percent, down on their season average of 50.7. This is from the AFL website...I had a big big chuckle.... Now I am not up in arms about how they choose to massage narratives for a larger agenda, but jeez, we're [censored] toying with teams. Personally I think it's to do with management of load, even within matches, rather than us not putting the foot on the throat, or not being ruthless...or whatever superficial cliche you can throw at us , when we want our team to overtly dominate our direct competitors in the top 4/8

Hmmm, very few games look enticing....perhaps it's a generational thing? Looking forward to watching Big Ange snare another 3 points and take home the SPL later on this evening.

so that's less than 2 a quarter... or 8 pressure acts over 2 hours. Hmmmmmm

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
I'll politely disagree with you, mostly around the reasons as to why pressure is down... the 'sense making 'if you will. The language that was used might be-- 'Finding a gear when we need to' - which implies a laziness or lack of accountability from the players. I'll strongly disagree with the fact that we are choosing to turn it on and off like a tap... it's just not how sport works. It's such shallow analysis and doesn't look at the multitude of factors that drive performance.

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Oh! That's an easy one @sisso - the reason is, is that we haven't played anyone of note. Just half the comp effectively. 🤷♂️
