Huh?? That’s genuinely weird. We smashed them on scoring shots and they lost to 16th in the lead up to the finals. They’re not as good as the media narrative presents 😉

Very fine (objective) comment

Brownlow night “3 votes N………………………..Daicos”

I presume the Pies have aligned their training regime @binman and they’re rather taxed at the moment. 7 weeks out, 2 games clear…

Ventured up to the Gold Coast this weekend rather than head south... Based in Palm Beach/Currumbin. Any locals recommend a favourite place to watch the game?

Yes, the last few weeks have certainly felt like that… shame about Carlton’s resurgence really… hoping for a Giants and saints win this week… likelihood is quite low though.

I distinctly recall when they didn’t find something to play for against us and we’d still get spanked 🏏

That is the best one yet @Roger Mellie

You wanted cheesey songs? Gouda Vibrations" by The Beach Boys or "Take On Brie" by A-ha

@WheeloRatings - can you confirm how the Marks Inside 50 Rate is derived? Cheers Nice to see we are slightly above average. Never feels like it when watching the game!!

Have we officially found our full forward?

I'd argue, that if not for a non-call on Gus in the GF, he was likely to kick a goal 35 meters out directly in front, and could have turned momentum again to the Dogs. He could have been our 'Harmes to Fritsch' moment. Sliding doors and all that guff... Nonetheless, this aint no emergency, and we don't need to break glass. -
That's a very good joke, we should keep doing it annually. 😇

Just found out this afternoon that my cousins band (we're all in our early, mid and late 40's) are supporting The Happy Mondays as they tour here, and then off for a UK tour... It's quite hilarious that as a rather cool band that never quite 'made it' in the early 90's as they have all had kids and got real jobs, they're now having to juggle touring life. They're exhausted. 🙌🫠 I'm sure Shaun William Ryder and Bez will be fun to hang with..So my submission is.

To play devil's advocate , what's the body of evidence the Harrison Petty can excel as a forward. Are we delightfully reading too much into one game? Please discuss panel.

Ahhh you humblebragged your location finally 🍷😇

😍As I said - it was never an 'experiment'.😍
-
The Petty experiment forward is only deemed an experiment still, as he has been injured. If that didn't occur, we'd be all pretty clear that its JVR and Petty as the preferred set up. This is the preferred set up, going forward.

My take is, it's a fare(thee)well match, and thank you for your services and THAT delivery to Fritsch. Good luck with your future endevours.😇

Yes... and to give perspective We are on a percentage of 123.7% The Bulldogs and St Kilda who are two games behind us AND percentage are on 104.7% and 102.2% respectively Geelong who are a further half game behind are on 121%. So, we are effectively 19% ahead of the Bulldogs. We have scored 1626 points and conceded 1315 points , and if I recall how percentage works, its is points scored divided by points conceded*100. For that 19% to be made up (or our percentage reduced) to 104.7 - is 230 points scored differential ON TOP of the score that we put on over the next 5 weeks. We're looking at 5 losses of 45 points a week. Let's of course assume that we meet at the half way mark between the two percentages as The Dogs and Saints would be on a winning trajectory. The Dogs/Saints need to gain 115 points scored in wins or 25 points a match, whilst we would need to concede that in losses to meet them circa 114% I'm not particularly worried that it is achievable, with who we have to play, and whom they have to play.

only if its negative 😆

Oh man you are hillarious! No explanation from the club? You're right.. they themselves didn't explicitly announce it.... " 4 Sept 2022 — Melbourne star Christian Petracca is set to play through the pain of a broken leg, after scans revealed a “minor” hairline fracture from a nasty ..." " The extent to which Melbourne’s premiership defence last season was compromised by injury keeps coming to light. That superstar Christian Petracca played the semi-final loss to the Brisbane Lions with a hairline fracture in his right fibula was already known. So, too, was Max Gawn’s hip ailment, one that almost saw him miss that game. And Clayton Oliver had been carrying a thumb injury through the back end of the season." It's good to see you subscribe to the 'one soldier in, one soldier out' mentality....with all the Casey replacements killing it. That's not how the reality of it all works though. The team would be poorer if Dunstan was in for Oliver, JVR (2022 version) in for Gawn, Turner in for Lever, Melksham in for Petracca etc etc. Or is that just me?
