I was surprised to read that we won the centre clearances so convincingly and came out even in clearances overall. Not a bad effort by the 'worst' midfield in the competition against the 'best' midfield. Upon watching the replay. Despite winning the tackle count, I thought we missed a lot of tackles today. There were plenty of tackles that got broken and a few where we had them corralled but just didn't put the tackle on and gave them an 'out'. At the very least we should be able to put a smother on. I think Maynard put on two smothers on Salem and melksham and its something we should be doing more. Not trying to be negative but if we can fine tune these things to our game, we'll make it easier for ourselves.
