  1. You sound like a religious person here mate. You are giving us the equivalent of 'God works in mysterious ways' and then running off in the other direction to support your views. So basically we can throw up any old trade, no matter how bizzare or obscene, and we just have to nod our head and go "it could happen...?" Ridiculous. I choose to live in reality, and the reality if that the Dogs would have no use for Jack Watts.
  2. What bizzare deals are these? The Tyson trade was a win/win - yes, we didn't necessarily expect it, but it wasn't wide of the mark. Watts and pick 21 for pick 6 is very wide of the mark.
  3. I might tape this one and keep an eye on the scores. If it looks like we played alright I've have a look later. If it's over by quarter time I'll be deleting it off my TV. Win/Win really.
  4. I agree, it does depend on how they rate him, but do you really think they will cough up a high draft pick for a bloke who has not lived up to expectations? The Dogs need talls, we all know that, but Jack Watts isn't the answer to those problems. Just because he kicked a few against them last year doesn't mean they will be falling over themselves to get him for Pick #6. I don't think Watts makes the Dogs that much better that it is worth the trade for them. Plus their fans would be seriously [censored] off with a deal like that, it just doesn't help them enough to justify it.
  5. That's true, but could you see any feasible way the Dogs would cough up a Top 6 pick for Watts and a high second rounder? Just won't happen.
  6. The problem with this is that Jack Watts isn't a forward target. The Dogs would laugh in our face with this offer, even with Pick 21 thrown in. Their fans would riot at this deal.
  7. I pretty much agree, although I think a second year player still has the capacity to learn from someone like Roos and is worth persisting with. Kent can be selfish at times and not make the best decisions but I think he can learn those things over the coming years.
  8. Why Kent? Just interested to hear your thoughts, as I've thought he's shown enough to persist with in his first couple of years on the list.
  9. Pick 1 won't happen. Best scenario is end of Rd. 1, and even then I don't think we get one. Can't hurt to ask though. If Chip goes (and why wouldn't you?) then we have 2 and 3 and then 3 early picks in Rd. 2 that we can work with.
  10. I'm [censored] done. [censored] you Melbourne you [censored] pieces of [censored].
  11. Dawes and Chip are having shockers but to simply blame them is wrong - the delivery to them going forward is slow and horrible. Bit hard to have an impact when they take so long to get the ball to you that it's now a 3 on 1, or the ball goes right over your head.
  12. This. Even if we come back and somehow win this game I'll still be annoyed and frustrated.
  13. It's almost surreal. We are playing SO badly against half a side that has only won 4 games this year. I just can't believe it.
  14. The disposal they get, however, is also fkn useless.
  15. The disposal they get, however, is also fkn useless.
  16. All our players went up then, no one stayed down and we paid the price.
  17. I liked his second effort when the ball was in our forward line as well, beat two opponents to keep it in there and force the ball up. Looking forward to seeing him play consistently good footy with another pre-season under his belt.
  18. So I have a differing opinion and that's what we get? Have you forgotten this is a discussion forum? If you don't want people disagreeing with you then don't post. Simple.
  19. Rubbish. We are working our arse off, we want to win this game.
  20. Great kick from Watts to set it up, great to see Kent finish it off. Good stuff.
