  1. Port keeping us in it. What they've done so well all day from kick outs is that they bring the ball to ground, crumb it and then they're away. We haven't done enough to stop that. And Jesse. If you want to be a gun key forward you HAVE to kick those.
  2. If we can get the next one, somehow, then I still give us an outside chance. If Port kick the next one, though, it's over.
  3. Port get the first goal after Dixon whacks Garland in the face and we're one down. [censored] it.
  4. My pleasure mate. We've been poor in patches, especially allowing them easy ball on the rebound, but the players dug in during that third term and have put us back in the game. First goal here is crucial, though. If we let them get it, it could break our backs a little.
  5. He's like the Mark Waugh of football. I'll give him credit though as he lifted in that third term. His first half was nothing short of awful.
  6. Get real. He's had 16 touches and run his guts out, unlike those 4 above. No way you can lump him in with them.
  7. No goal, stick that up your clacker boys. For all our poor play today... we're still in it. It's hard to believe, but we are. We probably don't have enough left in the tank to get over the line but we're a chance. In years gone by Port would have kicked 10 goals in that third term. Instead we put our heads down and got the momentum back. That's a good sign from our boys.
  8. I think you'll find Ebert had a crack at him, from behind, first. He gave him a couple of open slaps back - not good that he gave away a free kick, but it's hardly as if he started it.
  9. Right, so we're six goals down then, yeah? Yeah? Just going by the thread here.
  10. Ha ha, you bunch of sooks. Plenty of time to fix things up.
  11. We've allowed them to switch the ball far too easily so far. It's the only reason they are getting shots on goal. As someone else said earlier our forward entries have been putrid, but there is plenty of time to fix that up.
  12. Holy hell, I thought Track had injured himself then. Took a moment to realise he was signalling for the Port player to be looked after. Weird game at the moment, we just need to settle a little.
  13. They brought in the rookie, Dougal Howard, to play ruck. But Dixon will probably have to pinch hit if Trengove doesn't play, so I see your point there.
  14. Feeling pretty good about this game, although that doesn't mean much. I think it will end up being a shoot out. Dixon, Westhoff and Wingard will probably bob up for a few goals, but I still think we are very dangerous going the other way. If we can stop that run off half back that allows them to get it down to their forwards quickly then I think we win the game. Dees by 4 goals.
  15. Yes they will, we're on Demonland after all. Straight swap - Terlich for Prestia and JKH for Hurley. If anything that's paying overs.
  16. Copying and pasting articles like the above is against site rules mate. Try putting it in Google, sometimes that works.
  17. Would love to see the Swans smash Norf tonight.
  18. There's a few on here who would answer with 'my meat'. Not naming any names, though.
  19. I don't think there were many of those, although I'd admit a few might slash their wrists a little over Frawley now that they believe we need him, even though that's clearly not the case as it's our defensive setup that needs tweaking, not so much the personnel.
  20. I didn't realise stating the obvious garnered you POTY type of love, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Plenty of the season left to go, we might look like a destination club a little at the moment, but a few losses and a slide down the ladder will not look all that flash to prospective recruits.
  21. I know we were only playing Brisbane, but we still hit the scoreboard 36 times last week. I still think it is a formidable forward line, and with Port not having a great deal of talls down there, I think it still works this week.
  22. Pretty happy with those selections. Obviously the players seems pretty fresh, even with the 6 day turnaround, so they didn't feel the need to make more than 2 changes. Guys like ANB and Newton will be ready to go again and impress the selectors, while Tyson and Jetta will inject some extra experience into the side. Feeling pretty good about this one. Their midfield is still very, very good but if we can get the press working right then we should be able to kick a winning score.
  23. I don't think McDonald and Howe are similar cases - one is a CHB, the other was a flanker who skipped around packs, kicked a few goals and took a hanger once a fortnight. Howe was easy replaceable, McDonald not so much.
