  1. No chance of that. He barely touched Smith and it was an open hand. Complete joke of a report from a Hawthorn loving umpire.
  2. Depends on who plays well tomorrow. If Kennedy has a ripper then I see him as an automatic call up for Harmes. What about Grimes and Dunn? Not necessarily offering anything different to the others. If ANB has another big game does he also come back into the side, or have a few like Trengove gone past him now?
  3. Pretty spot on assessment Trav. Our small forwards over the last two weeks have been sub par, and while Kennedy was the one dropped last week, you could argue that both Kent and Harmes have been very lucky. Garlett has been very poor over the last two weeks but he has some credits in the bank. If our small forwards don't apply pressure and snag a few goals, then as you say, they don't give us much value. Kent was at least a little better today, but Harmes had 2 opportunities to kick important goals and he fluffed them both.
  4. Trenners seemed to play a high half forward/stint in the middle type of role today and got better as the game went on. He had 17 touches and took time getting in to the game. Nothing to knock him for though and he'll be better for the run. Frost did alright down back, gave a contest and didn't do anything too bad. A pass mark from me.
  5. I would disagree mate, but clearly we've seen it differently. Not going to debate it with you as we'll probably just go round in circles.
  6. Still got himself 22 touches, most of which weren't bad, and he didn't have a bag of goals kicked on him. He might still have some wobbly moments, and I do get nervous a little when he is around, but the bashing above is going a touch too far, even for you Stuie.
  7. Of course, what a plan! So with Garland also out injured, who are the TWO to come in who go with Frost? Remember, they need to be better than both McDonald boys. I look forward to your answer.
  8. Never said he had a good game, just arguing that he didn't have a bad one. There are grey areas in between. Sure, he could have clunked a few more marks, but having a few defenders hanging off you all day doesn't help. Each time he was asked to give a good contest he did so, on some occasions locking the ball up when he was outnumbered. Dawes had more touches than Hogan today as well, meaning he probably got to more contests than he did. Let me make it clear that I'm not arguing that he had a good game, just that the knocks on him aren't necessarily warranted.
  9. Game, set and match then. A few fans at the game thought he was ordinary so that must seal the deal.
  10. The problem for Olisik is that Steno's 21 posts have had far more relevance than 4,000 odd of his.
  11. He can only get better from here too. With the first game back, and the nerves, out of the way hopefully he can settle in and become an important cog in the side during the second half of the year.
  12. Disagree totally with Hunt. I still think he is doing more than enough down back to keep his spot. Harmes, on the other hand, is one I do agree with. Hasn't done much for a few weeks now. In fact our small to mid sized forwards haven't done much for a while now. They were down again today and it really does hurt us, not only forward of the ball, but also with the style of defence we are trying to play. The only winner through there was Petracca. I'll give VDB some slack in his first game back, but Harmes and Garlett were not good enough today in conditions that saw the ball hit the deck more often than not.
  13. Stats tell everything, do they? He competed hard and provided a contest all day. He might not have clunked a few but I didn't see him drop any sitters. The Hawthorn defence played him well. At least I won't be making any ludicrious assumptions like you do. Maybe if we played a Robbie Flower in his prime, or brought back '94 Ox and we would have won? Please.
  14. Now, now. No need to get angry. I know facts can get you down, but you really are a waste of space here.
  15. Such a better effort than last week. Tyson, Jones and Vince were enormous. Gawn was good in the ruck and I felt like our backline played pretty well under the circumstances. Our small forwards, however, were poor again. Kent was better but I felt like Harmes had minimal impact and Garlett was woeful. Trengove and Dawes will also be better for the run, and both make us a better side. 8 day break until we get to beat the Pies for the second time this year.
  16. I hope I'm not alone in thinking this, and I know you're a troll, but you are the worst poster on this board.
  17. It's actually in Hawthorn's favour...
  18. Pannell gives the free from 100m away. Not even joking.
  19. We have to hold here. Hawks putting us under some pressure, important we don't fold.
  20. You just got one! Poppy did everything to milk a free though.
  21. Ha ha, Hogan! Gold. Kent knew that was going to happen and followed him in. Clever.
  22. Nice drop of the shoulder Breust. Did it with his mate Pannell in the area.
