The moment I saw Jones & Moloney starting on the bench at the start of the last qtr last week and Morton started in the guts I thought the tank was on. Also Jones moved to the FP as soon as we started getting on top in the 3rd. I could keep going with strange coaching moves this year but apparently I'm imagining things.

He has stints up forward which is fine but Sylvia's run and spread is exactly what we're missing at the moment.

I honestly cant believe people can't see what's going on. The two teams with compo picks tied to there finish on the ladder are serving up absolute garbage and nobody In the media has even mentioned tanking, these are teams that won 8-10 games last year. The AFL has basically handed out a free priority pick to us and the Dogs and It's as clear as the nose on my face that both sides intend to rebuild through the draft. The JV situation Is also another reason for us to position ourselves In the bottom few. Have a look at our game plan FFS, bomb It long along the boundary line with no run or spread. Howe & Watts playing extended periods on the ball. Or maybe I'm just seeing things but for a team lacking stars there's a mighty big carrot to be had In this next draft.

Apparently It's a Heads Of Agreement stating we intend to draft him, Id be surprised If the MFC has completely locked Itself In. It make for Interesting discussion though. Would we take Whitfeild over Viney? Just about every recruiter In the country would say yes.

Have we committed to him or do we intend to draft him? Put yourself In GWS shoes for a sec. Putting a bid In for Viney creates a chance of losing the best kid In the draft.

It Is possible for Jack Viney to end up at another club. You just don't know the rules of how F/S selection works.

Viney may have signed something declaring his intention of playing for the MFC but I wouldn't think It would be 100% rock solid that we HAVE to pick him. I can tell you now If push comes to shove GWS aren't going to choose Jack Viney over Lachie Whitfield just to spite the Dees. There's just to much on the line for them to take the best player.

The reward for finishing in the bottom 3 this year Is bigger than any draft that has gone before us. Given the Viney situation, If Viney Is viewed to be the 5th or 6th best player in this years draft GWS and GC aren't going to bid for him. therefore we take him with our 2nd round pick. So if we finish 3rd last this season we walk away from a so called super draft with picks 3,4 (12?) and Viney. I'm sorry but that Is massive for a club still in rebuilding mode. For those people that don't believe It would happen.... Well It's been going on for years and while the rules reward teams that finish low on the ladder It will contiue to happen. Especially with two compo picks and a F/S selection.

I thought his disposal was absolutely disgraceful today. He reads the play well and makes space for himself but continually lets himself down by foot. Surely somebody else noticed this?

Yep great to see Tappy back, wouldn't be suprised if only played half the game. He's done stuff all of the pre season. Will interesting to see how Watts goes. Lots of players trying to impess this week, would be worth going along and having a look.
